First of all, very insightful podcast and agree with everything he said about Entertainment helping other industries and sectors too. But not sure about what the guest said regarding the Ticket prices to enter clubs around 40 mins mark - The guest talks about organising the clubs to mandate Entry fee for everyone. By doing so, he might not be aware but he is talking about creating a cartel situation which takes away the consumers’ power. - He says Rs1000 which is like $8 its cheap. But for a country like Nepal where majority of average people earn less than $200 a month, it’s not cheap. I can understand if there is a special guest or something. - And Minutes ago he said it himself Nepal is cheap we should attract tourist with our cheap prices. It is true for food and accommodations but any restaurants and clubs the drink prices are pretty similar to prices abroad. Eg double JD Coke in Nepali clubs are like Rs1000 and its like £7.50(Rs1150) in UK. Compare that to cheaper European countries like Prague it would be like Eur6.50(Rs900). - No wonder tourist come for adventure tourism and not really for nightlife. Because they will be paying similar prices to their countries for less quality. - He also mentioned if we simply pay the Rs1000 at the door people will earn respect from the club, the owners, etc.. but will clubs take our respect and compliments as a payment to let us in instead of money? NO - So, in many ways the things being said in this Ticket pricing section is very contradicting. - Couple of thing he mentioned that he is already aware of, the competition in the market encouraging innovation. So let the clubs compete amongst each other. Let them be innovative(to favour both businesses and consumer). - He mentioned the easiest solution himself. Just make the Entry fee into a Voucher (like Rs1000) that people can spend inside or by a bottle for tables. I think couple of clubs do that already. - We consumers know it’s a for profit business and owners want to keep the premium feel, and there are people who definitely will abuse free entrance. So the Vouchers system seems like the best idea. - Barrier to entry is there to give the Club a premium feel, at the same time Consumers feel like they get their money’s worth. - I think clubs should focus in finding creative ways to encourage people to buy drinks and spend money inside (shot girls, 2for1 offers, promotional drinks etc..) rather than taking the easy way out by just hiking the entry price. Look into vertical integration too. - Focus on making the nightlife for young people for everyone. - Otherwise the cycle will just repeat: New Club opens with good vibes > Everyone likes it > People go > Demand rises > Club gets greedy > Hikes Prices > Only the stereotypical people are able to afford it > Now Club feels dead > Eventually club dies > Becomes a Dohori Saaj But please don’t think of my view trying to Condescend the guest. We need people like the him who step up to get things done when literally everything is against them. The government policy, people, logistics, etc.. half of the things I mentioned are not even within the guest’s power, it’s just the industry. Best of luck man.

Maybe 30-50k at that time. I think his fee now per concert is around 200-300k. I think drake will never come to Nepal due to security reasons.
