Great video. Well edited. No boring wrenching and all the detail needed.

Aww. Bless you pal. Thanks very much for your feedback. Means a lot. I do take a lot of pride in putting all of my videos together. No doubt, there will always be improvements that I can make, but it's all part of the learning journey. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. Hopefully, it can also go some way to help others needing to fix their Jag too. Cheers.

Thanks Frank. I do miss driving it, but I am pleased that progress is coming on again. Reggie is certainly getting stuck in more and more. He really is taking a lot of interest now. Hope you and Karen enjoy your trip to the IOW.

Thanks very much pal. Really appreciate the comments. 😀 I've owned mine for over 10 years now. It's my second. Both have been Manual gearboxes, so quite rare. The X300 is a cracking car, isn't it? A very pretty design. Glad you're enjoying our channel. Thanks again. 😎

@@vikingo5094 Agreed. Thank you Eric. If you fancy checking out something cool, watch "Episode 109" on our channel. Me and my Dad had our X300's photographed for a feature in Classic Jaguar Magazine! 😁

Wow you did a outstanding job fixing the jaguar I like that you were able to get them the same color that's awesome, I have a 99 jaguar vanden plas I'm going to restore mine is severely rusted out in the front frame rails and floor pans and some on each side of the bulkhead. I don't want it to go to the junkyard and get recycled I love to save them I'm going to try to save all I can..I love this video 💜 you are a very good man you have a wonderful ❤️ son..

Wow. Such lovely words Dave. Thank you so much for that. Really appreciate reading your comments. Reggie is definitely a petrolhead, just like his Dad No doubting that now! Lol. I was a little fortunate to get the wings already in the Brooklands green colour, especially in the condition they were in. Had a travel a bit of a distance to get them, but it was worth it. These old XJ6's are fantastic. It's my second one, both being 3.2 litre Manuals. Lovely cars. Keep me posted on how you get on with yours. Take care.

@@jimmykneesall you are very welcome my dear . I wish mine was a manual but they didn't come that way over here for some reason. And over here they are 4.0 liters and over there 3.2 and they look the same the motor does and over here vanden plas is the one with all the trim and amenities and over there the diamler is the best one so I never did understand guess it's because of different countries on the center caps on my car on the inside it says diamler corporation may be the way its marketed I don't know mine is the xj8 long body that's referred to x308 but the trim is vanden plas which is a coach builders I'm starting to learn about them I watch this channel called yorkshire and they do the best work in the world making body panels for cars and chassis rails. It's called ycr. Yorkshire car restoration not sure if you know of them but they are very good..I hope you and Reggie have a wonderful blessed rest of the week my friend he is a neat little fellow I betcha you don't have a dull moment when he is around take care and God bless you and your family my dear friend.

@@davidmckinney6577 There are a lot of the Jaguar XJ6 variants. This is actually the 2nd 5-speed Manual I've had. Both X300's. My Dad is on his 2nd X300 too, but had 2 XJ40's before these. All 4 of his had been 5-Speed Manuals too, so that's 6 between us believe it or not! Lol. Never heard of that firm, but will have to check it out. Thanks again for your kind words. They mean a lot, especially those about the little man. If you're big into your Jags, you might want to check out this episode from our channel... kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZDLh2N3i92LiJY

Thanks mate. He absolutely loves cars. We've been out and about to many places in our Capri and Jag. It was only going to be a matter of time before he took interest in helping me with bits on them. HaHa.

Great video, thanks for sharing. This is my next job, I have the XJR X308 and the drivers side wing needs replacing, bolt on like yours is. Just need to find the wing at a reasonable price. Thanks again.
@jimmykneesall Жыл бұрын
No problem Dave. Thank you for your kind comments. If the 308 has bolt-on wings too, you're in luck. A couple of the bolts are a little fiddly, but they are easy to swap. Certainly no spot-welds to drill out anyway! HaHa! If you are able to take your front bumper off, it does make it easier to get the front two bolts out of the wing. And remember to unplug your indicator bulb before pulling the wing off the car. It's easy to forget and you could rip off the wire. Keep me posted on how you get on. These old XJ's are lovely cars and we love ours, especially with it being a factory manual. Thanks again matey.
