Short answer: The two credit meters are not entirely separate. They actually overlap. This is why deductions were taken from both. Long Answer: My understanding is that to collect a redeemable ticket the gambler must run through all promo credits (smaller white text at the bottom). This meter will constantly run down regardless of outcome. The exact amount wagered will be deducted with each hand. However, credits will also be shown deducted from the credit meter displayed at the bottom right (larger red text with yellow outline). This is because, as mentioned previously, they are not two entirely separate credit meters. They actually overlap. If Danny (heavens forbid) had lost every single wager, then both credit meters would have started at $50.00 and ended with $00.00. Danny would have been very disappointed, but he would not have suffered a loss beyond the bartender's tip. Heavens be praised, Danny won consistently. The white promo meter fell and the red/yellow meter increased. Once the white promo credit meter reached $00.00, Danny had honored his obligation to risk $50.00 worth of credit. He was then free to cash out and keep the value of the red/yellow credit meter.

@briang9581 I gamble a couple times a year these days. I've never, ever seen this happen. Usually, the freeplay is deducted from my balance and ADDED towards my bet credit incrementaly as I play. It's never DOUBLE-DEDUCTED simultaneously from both amounts. To me, that's stealing.
