I just love your podcast. You are one of my favorites to watch! There is always so much inspiration. I was looking for a classic vest with that exact construction, so that will be on my needles soon. I’m currently knitting Jingle by Isabell Kramer. I also love the tank top blended into the hot pink at the bottom. What a great idea. I’m totally going to try that with a leftover speckled yarn in my stash!

Thank you so much!! Your kind words mean a lot to me. I hope you have a great time with the Avenue Vest!! One tip for blending one yarn to another is to pick out a color in the speckle for the next yarn so that it's a little more cohesive of a transition (forgot to mention it on the episode). Happy knitting!! Take care ❤️

Thank you so much! I'll have to think about this because I knit a lot of different things and I don't have set "rules" about styling - just what's comfortable, wearable, and what goes together for my mood that day. Playing with combos is always fun! I do talk about styling throughout several videos though so maybe you'll catch some inspiration here and there. Happy holidays to you and yours❤️

Hi Stephanie, thank you for taking time to share all the wonderful projects you have made and are working on. I am ordering the Avenue Vest and I also signed up for Farmer Daughter Fiber Sock club for next year. Yours have been so fun to see and the colors always seem to be something I love. I loved how you marled all the colors in your second vest, it is an art piece. You are a gift to us, you don't need to apologize for every creak or squeak or talking to fast or to slow. We obviously all love you. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I love winter too, it just seems so calm and quiet to me.

Patons is pronounced pay-tons. It's an Australian brand, though sold globally. Patons is a much loved, iconic wool brand here in Australia. I love late Autumn where I live, the air is crisp & fresh yet still warm, all the mountain gardens are opened with a magnificent show of colour. The Christmas and New Year is my 2nd favourite, it's hot, pool time, river & beach time, icecream and forgetting what day it is. Between Christmas Day and New Year, there doesn't seem to be anything to do other than fun, for our family, everyone is off work and school

While my most favorite time of the year is probably early August , but the Thanksgiving weekend and the week between are up there as well . Funnily enough I just picked up that same Patons yarn in the same color from Michael’s last week . Merry Christmas, I hope you have a merry, cozy , peaceful family time .

This episode was filled with lots of interesting content. I reserved "The Spellshop" at the nearby library branch and hope it arrives in time for me to have a cozy read on Christmas Day. The librarian suggested the Large Print edition because there's not a waiting list for it, so it should be available by Christmas Eve. My favorite time of year is the autumn season, which then folds into the four big holidays from Halloween through New Year's Day. I've already opened one Christmas gift. A friend gave me a Woolstok Bundle of 21 miniskeins of yarn by Blue Sky Fibers. So if the book doesn't come in by Christmas Day, I can knit! 🎄🧶🎄

Absolutely love the yarn you used for your mini mock neck! I can't wait to see it on. I was wondering if you'd do a video on your favourite books read this year? You read a lot and i would love to see what's stuck with you. My favourite time of year is this period. Thank you so much! To be honest, I won't be doing a favorite books of the year video. I don't enjoy doing recaps or compilations and since I what I enjoy reading is mostly based on my mood at that time, one book might be my favorite at the time but not for a different mood. Plus, I don't remember what all I've read this year! lol. So many lovely celebrations in your family!!! Merry Christmas and Happy Birthdays!! Take care ❤️❤️❤️

I love your podcast! Yes, you do speak fast, but you use great adjectives! If I'm listening to a podcast and I hear 'super cute' too many times, I completely shut off. No, it's not super cute. It's stunning, gorgeous, great contrast, or (and I loved this description) quiet contrast. The Avenue Vest is lovely. The linen quill marled one is perfect for denims or a casual day. I may need to create one or two for myself. I gave up my FDF sock subscription in 2024. I received lots of beautiful yarns, but wasn't using them as quickly as I was receiving them. Yes, there is some regret, but I still have many of those skeins in my stash. And I do remember the mint taffys! Guess that makes us 'of a certain age'. I love all the seasons for different reasons. When I had children at home, yes, the week between Christmas and New Year's was the best. Everyone had a 'new toy', the house is relatively clean, there is plenty of food and everyone is together. A marvelous time. Enjoy it now. My kids are grown with kids of their own, so now it's special when they bring their kids over to play here.

Hi Judy! The “standard size” is 2L and what the free pattern I used is sized for so look for something of that volume and shape.
