It was pure hell living through those work perfect days. The big floppy disk. Lotus. Software crashing all the time and losing all our work. It was really a nightmare. And we had so much to learn so quickly with so little time. One of my professors dropped a box load of Fortran books on all of our desks and told us that we had three weeks to learn it and create a reservoir simulation. Pure hell.
