He's heating up!! Really great work on this, loved the top 10 - HUGO!! Olympics would be nice to have, but not necessary. IMO, I think the game still struggles a bit because it's hard to follow unless you know what's happening. That's not to knock what GS has been doing to improve it, they've really stepped up, it's just hard to do. That's where I think the 1v1 format would shine -- easy to follow, could actually tell individual stories to make people care about it AND no split deck.

Thanks man! I strongly believe that The Duel is a format that could change the game in many ways. I could see it working in sets similar to tennis where its physically intense as well as digestible for the viewers to be able to engage with.

Great episode! Top 10 was dope. As far as Olympics go, I think it’s still an achievement and opportunity to showcase the competitive side of paintball and have a lot more people know what you’re talking about when you bring it up. I think BMXs biggest issue is majority of ppl knew what BMX is to an extent and the barrier of entry IMO is higher than paintball. Competitive paintball needs to replace the old view of what ppl think paintball is, and new viewers will see that it’s achievable to go out and have fun first time. This definitely can happen from other avenues but Olympics is still a nice goal. Lookin forward to the next episode🙌🏼

@@brianwolfe8872 I was waiting for the first snub lol. I think a more mainstream type fantasy will develop as our stat tracking improves. With the only verifiable stat being the point win percentage I’m happy/ok with it being a digital trading card first, with a fantasy aspect ability.

I don’t see the Olympics in the future. Too many hurdles to overcome. And think there are other ways to grow the sport. I will address that in a future episode myself. Not sure fantasy paintball will do well. It works mostly in football, among league play, but how will this help paintball?

@@OldGuyPaintball I think if paintball were to be considered, The Duel would be the most Olympic friendly format we have. Better for viewers, more easily digestible, smaller field. With the Armory, I think its strength is in that its setup as a digital collectible. It’s fantasy aspect is a bonus with how limited our stat tracking is. How does this help paintball? Getting a flow of cash into the game helps to stimulate its economy, invites collectors, new outside interests, etc. I’m certainly aware of my taking a very optimistic approach but, I want to encourage activity within our sport.

Agree with growing the game, I plan on doing my take on the NXL/MLP after WC on things I think can be done. As for fantasy paintball, it’s been tried before with so-so results. It’s an interesting idea though.

Yikes at the Armory app. NFT/crypto scams are so 2021 and never end well. This sport needs less profiteering and more investment in the league, players, fields, franchises, and content creators. Great video and journalism though. Literally the most professional and informative paintball content since the magazines shut down. Keep up the good work.

I feel if they push to showcase paintball as a demonstration sport instead of a medal sport might be easier to achieve. That way if it is successful and gets plenty of viewership they can gauge if they feel it is worth the effort to add it to the next Olympics. Just my 2 cents worth.

@@JeffreyHuff I know the Olympics is hurting each year for viewership. That was a big reason for the break dancing experiment. With a proper showcase to the executive board, I really could see it being seriously considered. A format like the Duel would be very digestible as well.

Putting paintball in the Olympics won’t do anything. When do you ever hear about track, swimming, ice skating, luge, or curling outside of the Olympics? Never, and it’s bc the audience for the sport is very narrow and specific. PS, the NFT ship sank 3 years ago lol. That’s like asking someone to invest in bitcoin now 😂
