First time I see your vids. I absolutely love you being candid and truthful about yourself, it is refreshing. Got a new follower here, my friend. Just adjust the camera angle and position so we can see the views and road instead of the instrument panel.

Thank you so much - glad you enjoy the approach. I agree about the camera angle, I didn't realise it was so low but I fixed it after this day. Episode 3 releases next Friday and it has the angles you describe.

My dude! So happy for you to experience ADV riding. Best thing ever. Pants go over the boot. Lack of blood circulation may couse pain and/or numbness in your hands and legs. Same goes for the helmet. I couldn't figure out why I'm getting headaches after a short ride. Turns out helmet was a bad fit Ride safe buddy

The helmet wasn't too bad after I got off the motorway - I didn't find it a problem when the rain finally stopped and I was able to stay off-road. I'll need to try the pants over the boots.

What’s the story with the waterproof socks? I’ve got to know. Do they make your feet sweat? 😅
@projectbiker
@projectbiker Жыл бұрын
Imagine putting a tiny waterproof jacket around each foot, then putting that foot into a thick boot, then using that boot to ride a motorbike for 10 hours in rain and sun. Now imagine the moment you get to take those socks off. I wore those socks for two days and then never again! Think I'd rather my feet got wet...

@@projectbiker Thanks for the heads up. I have a pair, but I’ve only worn them at camp or in the city with some very comfortable aerated water shoes. I would have worn them with my riding boots. 😂👍

@@starlordstarlordman8489 I think if you were going through deeper water and the weather wasn't so hot, they would be more needed as they would likely keep your feet dry for the day. Interested if anyone has tested this theory!

Is the bike a 300L or 300 rallye?

The Honda is at home in the dirt the highway not so much

Perhaps with a taller windshield and a better seat it would do the highway better. But...I'd prefer to just avoid highways!

@@projectbikerI did section 1 and 2 on the Norwegian TET with a CRF250L (‘20 make) myself. (videos on my channel) Around 2900 km, about 50/50 asphalt and gravel. Can’t really complain about that seat, and sometimes it is actually better without a wind screen. I guess the seats aren’t that different and my bum just is a good match with the CRF250L?

@@projectbiker have you upgraded your suspension? I did that with my 250 already when it was new. I think the OEM suspension for the Rally is a notch better from the factory, but it may be worth considering, if you haven’t already.

I must admit after reading the title the content has disappointed me. I was looking forward to some original journey planning off the beaten track but unfortunately it’s the usual heading south on the autoroutes on an unsuitable bike for the task. Thank you for making the effort but please don’t promise what you don’t deliver.

I feel the bike being unsuitable for the task makes it all the more fun.
