I don't understand all the hate against the ticket winners being played by adults. They are obviously talented actors, they have more developed singing skills, and it's easier to have adults act. It would have been cool to have child actors, but there isn't a problem with these actors.

Personally, I never watched the movies a lot growing up, but I read the book and was in the jr production so I always viewed the characters older than they were in the movies Veruca I always saw as 13-15 Violet the same, 13-15 Agustus as 10-12 Mike as 15-17 Charlie as 8-10 So I guess for me, most of them being played by adults makes a bit more sense, but that's just for me

Then how many people auditioned for each role? How long does it take to prepare for the show: How long does it take to memorize the lines? How long to rehearse?
