Arthur defended a Black woman who was the Rosa Parks of her day. The verdict ended segregation of the NY transit system.

Civil Service reform was one of the best things he gave our country, he ended the very system that he was a product of.

I know him as my ancestor. He’s my Great-great-great-great grandfather (I think that’s enough greats). My father actually looks so much like him it makes us laugh.

That’s wild, he’s my many greats-grandfather as well! Hi very distant cousin! Yeah when the men on my dad’s side (father’s mother was nee Arthur) begin to plump up a bit they get the same chubby cheeks. I’m waiting for sideburns to become mainstream again.

Maybe you’re joking, but actually agree with you. The experience of the presidency actually made him a better human being.

the guy has presidential aspirations and succeeds , yet he is less of a man according the guest ?!?!? I guarantee if the guy had a job collecting waste and spends 'enough' time home, the guest wouldn't event glance in his direction. You can't win.

There are two villages on either side of the border owning up to him, yes! His father emigrated from the same town in the North of Ireland that my paternal grandfather did!

Arthur, like Obama, was hounded by birthers who spread lies and attempted to undermine his political legitimacy. Arthur was an American, born in the USA, just as Obama was. You can always count on people to stir up dirt to try and malign their political opponents.
