Charissa- I’ve been with my sons father for 12 years, no proposal, marriage or ring. While I was hell bent on being married, I now realize that we are just fine and I was more concerned with society’s pressures. I have not grown up seeing a healthy happy marriage (mom divorced 3 times) he however has parents that have been married for 50+ years. I say, if it works the way it is, leave it alone! Happy & healthy is the way to go. Now I wouldn’t be upset with a ring to at least show his commitment, bc let me tell you, everyone refers to him as my hubby etc. and when I’m introducing him it’s like: this is my bf / sons father / life partner 🙄 but Kurt & Goldie are 🫶 goals! Wishing you and Steve the most happiest, and do what you feel!

Charissa - I have been married to my only wife for 35 years now (June 3rd). Sounds like the first two you were kind of bullied into, had doubts, wasn’t sure. Recipe for disaster. Look, if he is your best friend, biggest supporter, confidant, most trusted person, the one you think about adoringly all the time, the person whom who can’t wait to see and tell him about your day and hold close to you all night and not want to let go ever…if it is like that, then you will have nothing to worry about. But you have to make peace with yourself and slay the “demons” that are stopping you from saying I do. Wishing you all the best!

Erin as another 'problem skin' gal - change your pillowcase every 2-3 days. Maybe it helps? I try most everything that makes sense! LOVE your show!

Charissa - thoughts on marriage. I have been married for 34 years, my husband is my best friend. As we are getting older, he is the only person I want making decisions in emergencies on my behalf. No one knows me better than him. Sure, you can put that on paper and legalize it, so what's the difference between that and a marriage certificate? Food for thought!

Charissa - your thoughts on marriage. I've been married to the same guy for 40 years. So, I can't really speak to the way you feel, but I did have a thought or two. Many people do pre-marital counseling. It's not necessarily going to make it fool-proof, but it doesn't sound like in the past you had much of a chance to consider everything involved in the commitment. Also, I really enjoyed the podcast "Double Date with Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue". I would especially recommend the episode with Sting & Trudie Styler--(all of the episodes are fun and interesting.) Trudie says some very interesting things about what it meant to her to be married and not just "partners". It's a different situation, but what she says is the heart of the whole thing!

Okay. So much to say! The short version is, “yes, talk to Steve.” Also, “just wash your face.” Here’s the deets: 1. CT, I’m also from the Seattle area, so you always get a little extra love from me ‘cause just ‘cause. 🥰 2. I get it that you two are on TV and have to look a certain way, but don’t stress so much about skin care and how you look! Y’all are amazing, talented women. Keep your face clean, let your makeup people worry about how you look on game day. Women’s beauty products are a billion dollar industry, and they’re selling you a bill of goods! When you’re 55 and past menopause, your skin will clear up. In the meantime, go with the soap and water thing. 3. Charissa, I got married at 18 and divorced at 19. Married again at 22, divorced again at 25. Both times I said “I do” knowing I shouldn’t. I was NEVER NEVER NEVER getting married again! I had a couple live-in relationships that didn’t work out, and one 11-year non-live-in. At 52, I met “the one” and we got married. (It wasn’t that fast … I left a lot out.) Partly me being emotionally healthy enough to sustain a good relationship, partly meeting a man who is an amazing communicator. We’ll celebrate 14 years this fall, and I still think marrying him was the smartest thing I’ve ever done. Here are the rules: - We have no “no-fly” zones. There are no topics we can’t discuss. - If the conversation is uncomfortable, we remember we both have each other’s best interests at heart, and nobody is trying to win. - “My life is so much better with you than without you.” Can’t wait to hear how it all turns out! 🤗 Also looking forward to your Taylor Swift report. I didn’t know who she was until she started dating Travis, but now I’m following along! 😂 ps - I’m also childless by choice, and have never once regretted my decision. Being an auntie is where it’s at!

Gamophobia is the fear of marriage. Interesting word. I've been divorced twice, and I am like you CT, I love being in-love. After seeing Steve on the podcast, I can tell you he would be an easy listener and probably give you some insight that would make you feel at ease with your fear. I was told that I am obviously not afraid of commitment but have a fear of failure. CT just go in with your best instincts and explain to Steve where you are in your mind and heart at the moment. Best of luck!

As the Steve in this scenario, it sucks to be him. I have had one failed marriage, and so has my current boyfriend of 3 years. Him 55, me 42 years old. I would definitely consider marriage again, and I HATE his disdain for it. It hurts me. All I feel every time he bashes marriage, is that his ex wife is still controlling his life, and that he doesn't value our relationship as worthy of. He talks to me like we will be together forever, but I doubt ever hold that title. I'm ok with not, but I want the option if we so feel it one day. And due to his past hurt, it sounds like it wont be an option. Let life happen and quit being so against it vocally.

What is the chance of having Jamie Little on your show and compare Pit Road to the Sidelines? Compare some of the obstacles you all had to conquer in a male dominated sport. I bet she has some good stories too!

Wow Charissa, such a hard question, in my humble opinion your past experience with marriage was not something you were doing from your heart, for you, and for the commitment, as a people pleaser you did it to make others happy and ended up hurting for it. When it comes to your current relationship, can you see a day in your life in which he’s not there to share in your important moments. Marriage isn’t a guarantee but in its own way it’s supposed to be a promise of love and commitment to each other when done from the heart. If you have this talk, I guess you need to have an open mind and heart to whatever the outcome may be, in case he wants to make you a promise of love and he sees it as you not wanting to accept it. I wish you so much happiness, love and light and sending you positive energy 🫶🏻

Charissa - sometimes a batter hits a homerun or grand slam with two strikes. Don't look at it negatively going in. Talk to Steve and look at the positive aspects of the relationship. Erin - see if your break outs coinside with what you eat. If I eat dairy products the next day my face is RED.

One company's tread count may exactly the same as another but they call it differently. It's like when companies size their clothes differently. High thread count sheets do not necessarily mean better quality. Often threads are simply split to create a higher thread count, misleading the consumer that it's better, when in fact it can weaken the fabric and cause pilling.

Married 3 times. 1st time, just never saw him because he was always working. 2nd husband cheated. 3rd time, remarried 1st husband 9 years ago and it's going great but not doing it again. Instead, I'm gonna move to France and live my life traveling around Europe and doing whatever the fk I want to do.
