I also thought the March YARNaBLE was very similar to February. When I rejoined this year I decided to look at the sneak peeks and skip any month that I didn’t love. I have a huge stash, so I only need to get the months I really really don’t want to miss. So glad to be able to skip if I want to! Life is too short…do what makes you happy…knit what brings you joy! ❤

The only yarn subscription I've had (and still have) is The Farmer's Daughter Fibers Sock Squad. I've enjoyed most of the colors I've received and they cycle through a few bases so that's fun, too.

Sorry you were sick and glad you are better. Misery loves company.😂 I was sick with s stomach bug for 24 hours. It was not pleasant but it's over now. Didn't knit one stitch while I was down. I'm knitting now so I know I'm on the mend. Have a better week and good luck with your Taylor Swift plans.

I recently found your channel, and I love your videos!! I’ve been knitting for several years (and crocheting), and my heart screams socks and granny stripe blankets 😅 I feel it’s easy to compare oneself with others and feel one should knit this or that… I was this way with garments and MKAL’s… Do whatever makes your heart sing ❤ All the love from Norway.

And I have to say I’m envious on all the dyers and yarn clubs you have to choose from. We do have some really good dyers here, but it’s limited. And anything we buy outside of Norway gets 25% VAT added and a customs fee that’s around 20 dollars… 😢

Don’t think twice about cancelling a subscription. There are so many wonderful ones. Something for everyone. Freckled whimsy and Woolens and Nosh are my current subscriptions because I’m obsessed with the Targhee sock base ❤

I agree with your Yarnables opinion. I love the idea of it. I love the bases. I lost interest after realizing they all look similar and meh.

Watching the segment about yarnable etc was like you were speakimg my language! I am super sensitive to all fragrances and I hate ordering yarn and it shows up smelling like a busted perfume bottle. I will get an instant headache, so I basically stick with yarn dyers I know that dont use any fragranced washes on their yarn. I sometimes miss getting yarnable but I wait for the extras to come out if she has any and I only get the yarn (they should have an option to get just the yarn). I also feel the same about Row One, I hated getting the 80/20 2 ply yarn as well, I got rid of all yarn I had with that base because I hated it so much. Too bad we cant find a mini subscription that only sends 75/25 😁

I cancelled my yarnable also. I really just wanted the yarn, the extras are too smelly, they said that option was supposed to be available, in January, however I have not seen the yarn only option. To be honest, I have only knit one of the skeins I have. Oh well. I hope you feel better soon!

When my kids were in school, they would get sick and then so would I! So glad that is no longer an issue! Since indie dyed yarn is on the expensive side, I prefer to not do a surprise subscription...I'd rather purchase the color that makes my heart sing! I, too, am not a fan of 2-ply yarn. Since you like self stripping yarn, have you checked out Polka Dot Creek? OMG, they have sooo many colors and the shipping to the US is not bad. They also dye speckled yarn, too. If I lived near her shop I would be in sooo much trouble! Glad you are feeling better!

OMG! It's not just me with the Yarnable this month! I didn't even really like last month's colors to begin with. I've put both skeins aside and will use them for a gift shawl at some future point. I sneaked the peak for April as well and am equally disappointed. The last color I really liked was January, and there are colors last year I don't love, either. I'm giving it another month because I do love the base and the colors used to mostly be wonderful, so we'll see. But i may be following you into cancellation. There are other yarn clubs I wouldn't mind trying out.

I need a magic knot ball - I love that blanket! Editing to add - I agree 100% about Yarnable lately. I’m making a blanket with the DK color each month and am sticking with it until the blanket is done, but I assumed the colors would vary more each month! And I keep giving away the scented extras.

I too was bummed about the yarn able color way this month. i also didn't love the color pooling on the last two months, so I paused for April and will decide next month if I want to continue. There are so many other dyers I want to sample anyway!

My husband will wear any color slippers I make. He’s stolen both mine and a pair I made for my niece-both were pink and purple marled. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Two things: I totally agree with you about Yarnable. And, I think the 4th doctor was everyone’s favorite before the reboot. I remember when I was a teenager seeing the 4th doctor on PBS. I should watch all of them over to see what I remember. England has the best TV shows.

Good morning Michigan. Hello uncle Marty and auntie Pearl from Ann Arbor. And morning pleasantries to you Lisa. Glad your feeling better there lady. Yes, I too look at the sneak peek from yarnable. Didn't care for February. Thought it was too dark. But I did like March. The auqa main color I thought was amazing. Went ahead and put in for Aptil. You know guys. Here's my thoughts on socks. They are the most underrated misguided piece of clothing one can wear. We take them off, sometimes inside out, and toss them on the bedroom floor. And they sit there until we might want to wear them again. And then maybe there laundered after they go missing for awhile and then we find them and the cycle continues. There treated disrepectfully. Ok. Enough said on that. I've never made a scrappy anything. I just knit socks in new full skeins. I might want to try the crochet scrappy granny square stripe blanket. Looking forward for a LONG term project. Have to study on it. Enjoy the sunshine. Take care. Prayers for rain 🌧️☔

Thanks for another great video. I canceled Yarnable a few months ago. I do love the yarn, but I have spent the past few years cleaning clutter out of my house, and I was struggling with all of the extras, knowing that I wasn’t going to use them. I wish we could preview the yarn every month at the sneak peak and then order yarn only if we like the colorway.

So glad to hear you are on the mend! I’m right there with you on Yarnable. I’ve been subscribing for over a year and it appears to have changed a bit. Even my friend that gets it has mentioned she’s thinking about canceling also. I love Freckled Whimsey and Woolens and Nosh subscriptions. I also got another one, Yarn Bliss by Speckled Finch and so far it’s been nice and pretty yarn. I will be cancelling Yarnable as well soon.. love your podcast:)
