Good evening Ruth, what a wonderful podcast as always, the cardie for your mum is absolutely stunning and look forward to seeing it complete, and the colours in your mindfulness shawl are amazing, it's definitely a pattern I want to have a look at I know exactly what you mean about that one more row syndrome lol, we have all been there and made that mistake, and what an amazing pattern. The wedding shawl will be spectacular, and what a wonderful shawl for a wedding, I have always wanted to knit a traditional Shetland cobweb wedding ring shawl, but I have got a ball of Shetland cobweb yarn to knit a lace scarf first, its knit on 2mm needles, my main problem is the pattern is in chart form which I really don't like, so I might write it all out before I start knitting it. I love watching most of the podcasts you mentioned,and especially after one of Tonya and Anthony cast on party, I don't have zoom but I still take part in my own way and in the last one I cast on a shawl, which I have only just done the first couple of inches because I have been working on the 4 garments I cast on that day so I will keep my shawl to the side to 1st July for your kal. Wooow absolutely love your donkey bag its fantastic, definitely one you had to get. We all worry no matter how hard we try not to, I have health issues at the moment and I really do try to put my fears aside, but my biggest worry isn't for me or even my grown up kids, its for my wee 4yr old great grandson and 7mth old great granddaughter, what is this world going to be like for them when they are older and their children after that. Take care,God Bless from Scotland xx

The color of the Mindfulness Shawl that you are wearing is a very nice color on you. Deuteronomy 31:8 is one of my daily memory verses to recite. The deadline for said knit will be July 5th, very convenient ! Ruth, 💜 that lovely cardi you're making your Mom is just gorgeous. I must also follow the pod with the son who had a TBI bc I started knitting after about ten years off, after I had my own TBI, 3 years ago this Saturday. It for sure changed my life plans.. But it also for sure that knitting had been awesome rehab being it uses both hands, and thus, both sides of the brain. I'm also getting treatment where I fly to Chicago a few times a year, that also has helped. I will have to see if he and I are going to the same place! I do enjoy your little giggles and quips, such as, "just another row" 😂 very relatable!! 🐸

Dear Ruth, wonderful podcast, all the projects are so gorgeous !! I did a lace scarf once and was told to use a life line (although I never found out how to do it!) The lace shawl is just stunning! I started my fairy ring, up to the short rows, the John Arbon yarn is so nice. I’m doing mindfulness shawls for my whole family!! Thanks for all the inspiration !!

Hi Ruth, Looking for your show notes as I usually do but can't seem to find them. Glad to hear there will be a KAL again this year. I'm looking forward to it. I'm loving your podcast and your laughter and enthusiasm. I have knit the shawl you're wearing twice but there will be more!

I tried to knit them socks but couldn't get the gist of the pattern. They look fabulous in one colourway.

Thanks for another lovely episode. Looking forward to the shawl knit along in july! :) I love the shawls you showed. I just started my first shawl. I'm getting married this saturday and apparently is probably going to get cloudy and maybe rain here in Sweden, so I started a shawl to have over my shoulders, in cotton yarn. Just in case it gets a bit chilly...

Always a Joy to hear from you each episode. How do you knit your socks? I have given up as I can't get good tension with 1 or 2 size needle & always get runners. Tried 5 dpn's + addi flexi. Maybe I'll try circular next.
@ruthlovestoknitpodcast2 жыл бұрын
I use 9" circulars. Give them a go x

Hi Ruth! I love your podcast and have really loved both your pattern and podcast recommendations. Could you please point me in the direction of the podcast you mentioned with the Swedish maker who does everything? It sounds perfect! Thanks in advance!

Hi Ruth, I have a question about another podcaster actually, and I thought you might know. Just before Christmas I saw Nikki on Sheep and Cheerful podcast and thought I would really enjoy her podcast, as she was a Christian and a knitter, but then that was the last I heard of her! I am just a bit worried that possibly something bad happened and she couldn’t make any more podcasts. I just thought you could help me find out about her and I thank you so much. I am concerned. I am enjoying your podcasts so much as well. Thank you.

Hey Ruth! For a new knitter, how challenging would the lace on the Iza cardigan be? I've done one cardigan that was pretty plain (and basically took forever to knit!), and now I'm thinking of branching out. Thanks!

It is a very easy chart. You could do it no problem. Think it is being released in June x
