You know it's okay to be loyal to celebrities and think about the positive things. However MacG and Ghosty are raising valid points and that's what many don't wanna hear. She is/was the managing director and with her fan base, people can always support her if she does her own thing. Everyone here is raising valid points! You don't have to agree but acknowledge the points being raised (my 2 cents).

Becoming a partner of an already existing establishment is not being lazy or wanting shortcuts Mac G Let’s not forget that it’s about passion and what someone feels is their element. In this case it’s probably promotion; marketing and communications for Bonang. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have interest in the manufacturing of the wine Also; Bonang multitasks; she has other ways of income that need some of her attention. We have different goals; you may want to be involved with this establishment to get capital to start another establishment in a different industry you’re interested and experienced in. Basically; we don’t know; get her on the podcast and find out FYI she could have been making more than the owners: just coz you own something doesn’t mean you’re personally making more than everyone in the business - you’re actually the last priority

I've just noticed that most of black people don't take this ownership thing serious. Guys this thing of being a face of something that is owned by someone needs to come to an end. Like for real. Even in state blacks are the face big brands, why? That's slavery. We need to stop this nonsense guys. Chinese are owning theirs and whites are owning theirs we as blacks are the face of what we don't own. Come on guys. When you signing contract the owner can never be the one who's getting less money then the you (the face).
@rayharvest3 жыл бұрын
@@boikobo7111 the owner CAN be making less than you; I speak as a multiple business owner - sound staging and lighting, Broadcasting; and recording (also having studied business) You prioritize the business and what’s good for it; I’m not speaking out of my ass it’s something that’s happened many times with me to - those are sacrifices you go through to build it up. And secondly; we won’t own every business we get involved with. Like I said; I own my businesses but have been part of some other businesses with other business people based on what they saw I’m good at; and they need. It doesn’t mean I should own that particular business or venture in it (of which one of them was a courier company - and I have no interest in owning such a business but I learned a lot)- I’m a marketing and communications person; they saw I’m good at that; and I collaborated. Black people should own businesses; but there’ll be some deals that come to you for collaboration based on your speciality; if you have time to do it; do it and get your bag; learn whatever else you can learn and move on to your fields of businesses

Guys i don't think y'all understand....when you buy a stock of a company there are a lot of things you need to look at, just because you're suddenly the face of the company doesn't mean the business will suddenly produce good results for it's entire lifetime, so owning a stock (private stock) is a bit risky because the only exit you have is if the company goes public or you sell your shares to someone else...like when you're buying the stock, you need to calculate it's intrinsic value, look at how the sector of that company is growing, , Margin of safety, inflation, free cashflow...etc

Bonang took a great deal. Get what you can while it's still selling. Getting shares is high risk, the business can fail and you'll lose everything. She made money without taking any risk. That's a dope move.

I for one I drank the last can of BNG yesterday and I will never by any until we know what exactly it is happening. Should they take it from Bonang, I guess that I'll never see it in my fridge ever, I'd drink takunyisa with Bonang's name on it.

Sol is right. People shouldn't dare laugh at Bonang

In essence Sol and MacG are saying the same thing because it all ends up with ownership. Sol says get the deal and use it to accumulate the resources (knowledge, connections etc) to own your own brand and MacG says see the potential and value of the offer and go for the kill. But both have time as a key factor, Sol's will probably have a non-compete agreement for a while and MacG will be a hell of trial and error case, unless you have the network already in place. I agree with them both though ownership is a need for black communities

I agree with Mac G though on this one it's better to start your own while you're still popping. This was a good deal for B, but imagine if this was hers from the beginning

Hypocrisy... what Bonang did is not a short cut.. a shortcut 2 feed a longer goal.. haai shem... im so glad Sol is here ...
