Brian.......your videos are very inspiring......While you mention Jack of all.....master of none.......you seem much more of a master than I would be, yet it still gives me confidence that I could get a project to the finish line.......now, to get my license and pick a kit

Brian, I've watched all your videos, please never stop posting. They are always informative and entertaining. I hope to build a kitfox sometime in the future and your videos are invaluable to everyone in the community.

No expert, I am just a fan of flying and machines in general. I am here because I enjoy doing things different than others, and because you are doing that. I am also here because of you. Because of the guy that took the time to thank the people that are helping him, and did so with genuine appreciation. Because you are that guy. Genuine.

Hi. Im commenting about the off center radiator. I am not a aircraft guy(yet). I am a motorcycle mechanic and ex race mechanic. The radiator has plenty of room between the exhaust. You could move it closer. The amount of airflow you will have going through the cowling is going to keep the radiant heat from the header from effecting the radiator. Many sport bikes and UTV's have exhaust pipes an inch away from plastic with nothing more than a simple 2 layer heat shield. Its your plane but I think moving the radiator and building a heat shield would be easier than body work on the cowling. Also good call on reworking the throttle linkage. It would have broken the cable eventually on the cockpit side. And with the fixed pivot on the engine side you would have worn through the cable where it went into the ferrule on the cable. Frayed some and then gotten stuck. Also. Not sure if you have these on there but you need to put seals on the cables to keep out moisture.

Great episode. Thanking the contributors is a nice touch! I plugged in my earphones and closed my eyes, for a moment, I thought I was in Michigan's UP after a 12 inch snowfall...that's a good thing!

I’ve learned so much from your channel (and others, too) and it’s making me want to follow through with the dream of building my own airplane. As enjoyable as they are to watch, they’re also great reference material.

All the nice things you said about viewer comments prompted me to make this comment as well. I just crossed 3 years that I've been working on my RANS S7 build, I hope to start the engine right after New Years. I've put in a Rotax 912is, an engine that is mostly supported by the factory. I've had to do a little problem solving tyring to figure out where to mount the ECU and the fuse box, but it's been nothing like the challenges you have worked out going with the Apex engine. I don't really have much to add except to thank you for the videos and let you know that they are much appreciated. It's amazing how timely your videos have been with my build. It seems like we've often been working on the same things at the same time. When your videos come out, it's been a "drop everything" event for a while now. I know making the videos is a ton of work, but you do have a mostly silent base of viewers that really appreciate the effort.

Thank you for that. The engine start is a huge milestone and I’m happy to hear you are almost there too.

And, yes, you can never explain to the ground-bound the nature of the aviation community. More so than ever, there's nothing quite like it left in contemporary life.

Hi, Merry Christmas to you and the family. I dont know if you sourced an muffler yet, I used to own a bike dealership, and one of the first mods everyone does is upgrade the exhaust. You may want to take a field trip with the kids to a dealership and check out what’s on the 1000cc side by sides for options. The used OEM stuff usually ends up in the dumpster or 10 cents on the dollar on EBay. Thank you for taking the time to produce these videos.
