Just tried a pour of the SBBP bourbon, not the rye. I think it will end up being up there with OF 1920 for a replacement for Stagg when I don’t have a bottle. Little more viscosity and it would be essentially on the same level for me

Interesting you said it's better then both the triple mash and the regular bonded. I passed on this JD rye BiB recently because I've heard some negative feedback. I guess I need to go pickup a bottle..I like the other two.

The JD bonded is my favorite whiskey. The triple mash to me is HARSH. Thought about picking up the new bottle but i think im gonna work on expanding my bonded collection (yes im sure there are better whiskeys, trade me tounges and tell me which one I'll like)

@@TheWhiskyExplorer that’s a good idea, we in the bourbon community never really talk about woodford besides their yearly limited releases or their double oak. Would actually be nice if they took a page from JD and started coming out with more releases, more importantly, more sought after/shelf available bottles like barrel proofs, single barrels and he like. Even Makers mark are trying to step their game up.

Nice review Judge. Not into rye much, but I have the Bonded Bourbon and like it. Also bought the Triple Mash, but have not cracked it open. I picked up the JD Bonded Rye yesterday for $35 to add to the shelf. 🥃

I think it's a good rye but in this category Old Forester and WT 101 Rye run the show. Considering you get a liter compared to 700ml for the same money.

I’ve seen this in the store over the past couple weeks, but assumed it was to bourbon what their bonded Tennessee whisky is: decent for the price, but nothing special. Sounds like it’s worth the try tough.

I do plan on picking up a bottle since it's 70 % rye and this not a " Kentucky style rye".which is a 51% to 53% rye... So I'm in!! I need closer to a true rye at least 70% rye or higher 👍🏼😁

It's really cool to see especially because (as a lot of channels have mentioned), Jack didn't need to do this. They could have just stayed making Old No. 7 and kept rolling in the dough. But they're tryign new things because they want to (and can) and are putting out good stuff for people who want to try new stuff. Very admirable IMO.
