You should fill orders by the animals to raise your level to unlock more stuff and animals and get your friendship level with them to at least 3 to invite them to your camp site. Some animals you have to reach friendship level 5 so pay attention to that. Most of all have fun and do what you like. Also when you level up and do missions you get more leaf tokens, so don't be afraid to spend them.
