Amazing layout and design, price point is extremely good. The numbered faders is brilliant as well. I understand AMS was trying to keep it within a certain cost but Would love to have seen fader automation. I presume it may have added 10K+ to the cost though.

You really think the digital technology inside it is more advanced than a Behringer x32 that costs only $2,500?

experiment0003 An analog console like this of course won’t compete with a digital console as far as automation. But I’m sure it will obliterate a digital console like the Behringer as far as sound. $30K is a nice chunk of change, but not really expensive at all for someone who is looking to buy a new Neve Console. But you’re right, you can get the job done for much less. But someone with a 6 series Benz could easily have gotten a Ford C-Max to roll around in too. Lol.. People buy what they love/want.

@@richiefamus8778 As far as obliterating a digital console with respect to sound, that's subjective and wasn't even up for discussion. I was comparing the digital technology inside. In essence, this 8424 is a passive summing device built into a digital console, a digital console that won't beat a Behringer x32 that costs only $2,500! You do realize how cheap it is to build a passive summing mixer, right? Some wires and some resistors.

So far Neve has sold 3 of these units 2 to Sweetwater and one in India and they have not been able to move them. Midas 32.

Sirs of NEVE, why 15K only 2 previous ones? They believe that because of their "brand" we lose our asses, and with the Genesys Black 70K they have shown that with Ruper Neve's trail they continue to become millionaires, but luckily this SSL that has more sense of reality than you ... you are not alone .

I LIKE THE CONCEPT, BUT IT REMIND ME A BIT LIKE MY SONY DMX R100, BUT WITH NO MOVING FADERS OR AUTOMATION AND ONLY 2 500 SLOTS EVERYTHING'S SEEMS FINE LIKE THE LOOK

Motorized faders, which are questionable on a product like this, would have increased the price alot. Those who really need that will probably go for the Genesys or Genesys Black anyway.

Looks great but........today its alot of Hybrid mixing and mastering going on, If you would have made this "More Affordable" then.....More people like me would buy it in a home studio set up and thats were you guys are cutting your throats selling 100,000 of these this year at $5,000 each would make you guys $5,000,000 instead of selling about 10 of these this year and only making $250,000 you guys are being Penny wise Pound Foolish!!
