Great interview, Cleo was once my senior in the same class with my sister. Cleo always knew he was going to be big and famous, they would laugh at him when he said one day he'd be famous, they'd literally laugh rolling on the floor and crying tears. I thought he was a bit ambitious but felt sorry for him when they did that. When he actually made it I just saw God at work and was super proud.

I met Cleo at the City of Johannesburg offices in Braamfontein right at the beginning of Covid cases in Mzantsi in 2020. We both had some irregular billing issues to sort out with the City and we had to join a long que of people with the same issues. I started talking to the guy in front of me, only to find it was Cleo. What a humble soul man…he told me about his soccer team, music and his studies. When I spoke to him back then he didn’t want anything to do with music anymore but I’m glad he is back in the industry. I’m also glad he is completing his studies which he had just started when we met. I wish him all the luck with his latest album and all his future endeavours. I really enjoyed this one!

Few things to point out from this interview about Dj Cleo. 1. Dj Cleo is super smart , infact he is a genius. You can tell by his choice of words, he gets the puns and throws them back. He's the student of the game and he has earned the stripes to be called an OG. 2. Dj Cleo is a legend. Who could have thought that he's of the leading guys who brought the concepts of Mzekezeke to life. 3. Dj Cleo is super humble. You can see that few people in the industry did him dirty but he moves, also with the catalogue he has, he still manages to not brah and not have a big head. He just dropped gems in here. The 80's and 90's who witnessed more of his work, don't have a choice but to put even more respect to the name. 4. This interview serves as a documentary too. He brought some extraordinary amazing people in his narration, the names, wow. We will be coming back here every now and then until infinity to verify and school ourselves about the game, the origin. 5. Great story teller. From his childhood days, his mischievous ways, making of music , him labeled gay, celebrities he went to school with, wow. I respect abuti TLOU. This deserves MILLION VIEWS IN A MONTH.

It seems like there was too much content cut from this episode. If the video went on for 3 hours, I'm confident us Chillers would not have any problem watching the whole of it. Otherwise, the interview/conversion was fire 🔥🔥🔥

Dj Cleo, the best producer to come out of East Rand, Springs specifically🙌🏽. The parties he used to throw back in the day by his parent’s house, making us walk on foot in the early hours of Sunday morning back to Kasi KwaThema😂😅. I’m glad at that trajectory he still made it to the TOP.. Dj Cleo the best 💐 🌺 👏🏽👏🏽
