You guys should watch the adaptation from 1979 directed by the great Werner Herzog, you won't be dissapointed. It features the iconic Isabelle Adjani, and to this day is still my favorite Nosferatu remake ❤❤

Twice, I’ve attended a viewing of the 1922 version of this movie at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with live Wurlitzer organ accompaniment on Halloween. Attendees come in elaborate costumes. So fun! 👍🏼🧛♂️

There’s a rumor going around that robert eggers is currently attached to a labyrinth project. I am personally mixed on the idea, but knowing the vibes will at least be there gets me slightly hopeful.

in those days people thought that a plague couldn't be spread without someone / something bringing it (e.g. a vampire)

I’ve found millennials really loved this and Gen X are very meh about it bc of their affinity for the first 2 versions. I grew up on Coppola’s version. My mom was obsessed so much we listened to the soundtrack regularly. I loved this movie. It was so sad bc she gave herself to that uuuggglly thang. I was like damn girl. Damn. I was genuinely scared a lot, so much one jump scare I screamed out loud. The dread. His voice was so gross…. It was so dark especially in the castle I had to sit up in my seat to squint and that led to me being really scared. Very sleepy hollow especially once Dafoe came in.

Gen Xer with Gen X girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. How large was your study sample? How much statistical bias is in your personal observation? Liking/disliking this movie is about personal aesthetics and, to a degree, education/life experience so far as exposure to gothic horror is concerned.

Loved this movie and your review but y’all should watch Herzog’s nosferatu! It’s fantastic

Warning. Hertzog’s version is very “art house”. The acting/writing is stilted and has a very avant garde Euro feel. Personally not a fan, no matter how great Kinski’s portrayal of the creature is.
