@@82pattycake i picked it up too. But you can tell he has worked on his accent and there are elements of it that sounds South African. Oh, and let's also not forget many Jollofinas end up speaking pidgin English and taking on the Nigerian accent. Sometimes it really happens naturally. If you spend a lot of time with people you start picking up their mannerisms and way of talking..

I find it interesting that as big as South Africa is, we are all labelled as xenophobic across the continent as a result of the actions of the selected few. On the other hand, Nigerians dont want to be labelled as drug dealers because of the few who sell drugs. Its also crazy that we are crucified by people who come from countries who have issues with tribalism to the point of killing each other
@ThatWeirdSpace
@ThatWeirdSpace Жыл бұрын
Cause and effect should be taken into account when making certain comparisons regarding social issues. How are the drugs let into the country actually? Who benefits most from the sale of drugs in S.A? Let’s perhaps not see it as being “crucified” but constructive criticism. ☮️✌🏼
@Arthwell1
@Arthwell1 Жыл бұрын
@Tina, it cant be constructive criticism. Tribalism is the worst. That should be a priority. You hate you own because they subscribe to a different tribe/religion? The be concerned by xenophobia in a foreign country? 🤔 Most of foreign nationals speak of South Africans as if they have never met kind South Africans. We have always been welcoming people. Here, you stay with us, in our communities, back yards. But online its a different story. We are "full of hate" , "we are brain washed" and yet we have a huge number of foreigners in this country. Not in white surburbs. In our communities. Do you think if we really hated foreigners that would be possible? It doesnt mattee where drugs come from. We dont stay in white surbubs. We see Nigerians IN OUR street corners selling drugs not wealthy people or whatever. So its really naive to think that we would go to surbubs and fight people who bring drugs in the country. No. We see, and know Nigerians who do to the point of using salons and shops as front. There is no hate there. Constructive criticism must be across. The same energy we use to fight Xenophobia, we can also use to condemn tribalism and those who come into the country with the sole purpose of destroying the least of the moral that we have by feeding our youth with drugs. As long as youre part of the chain, youre just as guilty as the person who brought them in. And this is not a message only to foreigners, but citizens as well. They get killed by Communities.

@Arthwell_UmXhosa who wants a negative label attached to them? People are people and they want to be thought of in positive terms. Even when the shoe fits generally people reject negative labels eg members of the KKK or supporters of apartheid don’t like being called or referred to as racist. After 911 muslims are profiled as terrorists but there are over 8 billion people in the world and 2 billion of those are Muslim. If 25% of the world were terrorists would we have a world to speak of? Fact is for many people perception is reality. Very few people challenge the views they hold and how they came to hold those views. The world we live in is curated & influenced by the actions of a few and the majority follow. We are told/taught who to love and hate.
@Arthwell1
@Arthwell1 Жыл бұрын
So labels are justifiable when placed on South Africa and its people? I have friends from across Africa, mostly Zimbabweans as my neighbours. We have never had problems. So what do you think it will do to me, when I come online and hear how we are labelled as being hatefull and yet we accomodate the very same foreign nationals people claim we hate?

I enjoyed this, The guy in Dreads has so much empathy man. He genuinely doesn’t like disrespect whether it’s given or received. Eg. How he urged them to stop talking about the late AKA issue☺️He also said he looks for kindness in a woman. He didn’t degrade SA or Women in general, MacG kept tryna insult SA girls but he on the other hand understands that for some, it’s a lack of finance issue that make women want money from men. Nigerians just happen to be the most generous. He’s open minded & he even made MacG put himself in their shoes & Macg agreed that he would have sex with no question if a certain amount of money was promised to him. I liked that about him & his self control even after going hard on the Hennessy 😅he was chilled. Also may I just add that one of the reasons why woman like Nigerian men is how they carry themselves that being with Confidence. Their physic helps a lot in that Confidence🤞🏾Nigerian men have banging bodies & that’s very attractive, the finesse is a contributing factor😂 SA woman like Nyja men but the same reason Nyja men will always go back to their Nyja woman is the same reason they go back to their SA men. Nyja men can be very disrespectful & toxic when there’s no love involved. SA woman are very vocal, something they aren’t used to, so the clash happens & both parties rather go back to what they are used to. That’s just my take on that matter. Lastly our Government is definitely a contributing factor where corruption is involved, the reason many foreigners find comfort in staying in SA, that includes, Chinese, Somalians, Indians(Non SA) etc. Our laws fail this country!

Y'all just wanna date for money and don't wanna get jobs. There's a reason these girls are always broke. The choices they make every day and laziness. That's why they will never ask a Nigerian boyfriend to teach them skills or help them get a job. Imagine going out with rich guys every Friday night and never learning anything about making money. The transgressor always forgets the offence & it's only the response of the offended that is remembered. When South Africans react to their crimes, it's called Xenophobia. We will not just pick a fight with someone for nothing. The guests have to defend their people, but we cannot be in denial of the bad things Nigerians have done. The prostitution industry in my city I am from is run by Nigerians. The guys selling drugs in the clubs in the same city are Nigerians. I've personally had encounters where I fought with Nigerians because of their disrespect.

This kind of life is only specific to certain geographical areas. Most of the population of SA women do not relate to what these guys are saying. People think SA is limited in Gauteng and that is just a fraction of a pie. Also, these people from Nigeria are only in SA for a flashy life because they do not have families around and therefore they have no responsibilities. Any penny they make is to impress women, unlike a SAn man who has to take care of himself and his family with the money he makes. These are just men with no responsibilities who are living for today. It is just a Nigerian thing to look like they have money even if they are broke.

Noo they can't,these ones overtsayed their welcome in RSA. even though they have not as honestly talked about issues both in RSA and Nigeria they always paint a negative picture of RSA and positive about their country,but a simple question why if we're bad our fellow Afikans flock to our country and continue to live a nice life way more than us south african. We're not disputing a fact that there are those Nigerians living a clean life here (e.g look at the rate of african foreign lectures at our university,though we have our very own qualified but not employed yet we're bad, others are doctors but its a few),majority of them front with small businesses like saloons though selling drugs,human trafficking,online scams, and oooh the last and big one satanic rituals they do fronting with GOD through these new churches.

they are the last people to talk about Xenophobia, coz their are tribal wars in Nigeria that are even breaking the country into two parts. Ryt now there are Nigerians who want their own country to be called Biafra. So they shudnt act like they really believe in Africans uniting. Plus we are very friendly in SA, if we were not we wouldnt have the highest number of foreigners in africa. SA are fed up with alot of things already, now their come and add more problems And please dont make it about Nigerians taking SAns with them, coz we all know Davido also needs Musa Keys coz Amapiano is the biggest thing happening ryt now, Davido needs Focalistic coz Piano is the sh!t ryt now. so if the using that logic Nomcebo featured and took Burna boi with her on her hit song Jerusalem, the biggest song in Africa terms of streams. So they take SAns along not coz they doing them a favour but becoz Piano is this shit and taking the world by storm, if ur cant beat them ur better join them thats whats happening. AKA put Burna Boi on when he was still not big in Africa or the world , at that time AKA was already big. So guys we been helping or bringing Nigerians with us too, its been reciprocal sh!t.

@Trayway, me and you share the same sentiments. All of a sudden we hate this guys and yet we accomodate them in our communities. We have streets we dont walk in because they took over. Crime is rampant. They think we dont know that tribalism is an issue there. They kill each other because of tribal and religious differences. And are concerned about how they are treated in a foreign country because they dont want to account for their actions. You see they dont even attempt to call into order thosr who come here with the sole purpose of committing crimes. Instead theyre justifying by saying Nigerians dont bring drugs here. So what?! So they must continue selling them just because they didnt bring them in? Thats just crazy. Nigerians sre just parasitic. They want unity for convenience, thats why they want us to vote Malema because they know his position when it comes to illegal foreigners

This episode offers an intriguing aspect as the individuals involved possess distinct differences in their thinking, thoughts, and style. However, it is important not to generalize the majority of our fellow Nigerians as criminals. It is noteworthy that many individuals strive to distance themselves from engaging in negative activities (Drug dealing, Scam, Fraud). There are local businesses diligently carrying out legitimate work despite their limited resources, workers can't afford a simplest life but they can Hmm. The lower working class faces challenges in owning property, yet they manage to sustain themselves. It is disheartening to discover that certain clubs and churches, including those owned by South Africans, are being used as fronts for money laundering. But nonetheless the content is always interesting big up @podcastandchillwithmacg
