Cadetdude It's not explained in the sub either. All the information was handed out on the website cf-vanguard.com/en/information/g_unit/ Here is my tl;dr of it. Discard a bunch of Cards that add up to grade 3 ( 1+1+1 / 1+2 / 3 ) into the Dropzone. Then choose 1 of (up to) 8 FACE-DOWN G-units from the extra-deck (G-Zone) and ride it, this is called "Stride" and the Vanguard before, is now the "Heart" and cannot be Soulblasted. A G-unit is a powerful, Grade 4 unit with "Tripple Drive" Ability and an aditional effect, depending on the unit/clan. When activating Stride your G-unit gains the name of the "Heart", thus allowing you to activate RG abilities that look for names/sub-clans/archetypes. At end of your own turn, your G-unit is put FACE-UP in the G-zone and cannot be called again, the "Heart" becomes the Vanguard again.

that was an animation error, small things like that are sometimes overlooked. If you look back at the turn before (15:00) she actually had "Battle Sister, Cocoa" (Grade 1) boosting, which makes more sense. As of rules, only Grade 0 and Grade 1 units have the "Boost" ability (as seen on the top left, below the grade).
