Nusayba bint Kaab was a warrior who shattered many glass ceilings, was admired by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for her courage and strength, and played a role of definitively clarifying the position of a woman in Islam. She even inspired the revelation of a verse in the Quran as a response to a bold question she asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Get to know this fierce companion in this week's episode of Sayedaty.

And also to add, the Quran does not direct the gender name. For example: in Suratul Asr-even though the verses 2 and 3 were based on Abu Bakr RA- Allah says: except those who have believed and does righteous deeds, gives advice of truth and patience. He says “those” which means it can be either man or a woman. When you will read the Quran entirely and carefully, you will see lots of “those who believed and do good” “those who disbelieved and do bad” “O who you believe!”. They are rid of one gender bias. Also, not just Suratul Ahzab but in Suratul Layl, Allah says : “by His creation of male and female!”. Now, many people will try to give excuse to claim that Allah has shown the differences between men and women. And they might directly go to the next verse: “the ways you take differ greatly”. But they will be wrong completely because then the verses after this, Allah repeats “who” which can link to both male and female. Allah has given equal rights in the whole Quran if you zoom into the verses linguistically, not just Suratul Ahzab. May Allah grants us, both men and women, to follow the righteous Islam and establish us for Jannah.

First, whenever we read in the English translation of Quran the word MAN in the sense of MAN_kind know that in the Original Arabic text it uses the word Insan (Human in Arabic) always, but there are few expectation, read this verse: "Allah has not made for a man two hearts in his interior" Quran 33-4 Here the word used is in Arabic text "rajul" (Man in Arabic) Guess why God did not use the word Insan (human) in this particular verse? it is a good exercise and then , kindly see the answer below. Answer: Because if he had said Insan (human) in this verse it would include Women and some of which have 2 hearts in them when they are pregnant, her heart and the baby's heart ! That is how precise the Word of our Lord, Allah, The Exalted, The wise. Even many Muslims (and Muslim Arabs) would not capture that subtle change of word like in this example, give them this quiz and see, it requires deep reflection. I am native and did not know it till my brother told me.

@@khadijameher7858 I think he is talking about khawla bint al azwar (ra), she is a female warrior who participated in the several battles along with her brother dhiraar bin al azwar, in the famous "battle of yarmouk" she lead a group of women warriors against the mighty Byzantine army, she was even compared to none other than "khalid bin walid" himself, you can read more about her on wikipedia.
