Had a hankering for uni (sea urchin) so I took the opportunity during the negative tide (-0.7) to harvest some uni, mussels and clams in Half Moon Bay.

Awesome! I haven't clammed at HMB yet but glad to see you got some. How deep are these? My last clamming video I had to lay on my chest to reach the clam (probably 3.5 feet deep)

Thanks. These weren't too deep. Probably averaging 2 feet.

Mavericks Beach but a lot of people try to harvest. If you can find them, they’re usually small.

I went today at -0.8 tide. How did you prevent water from filling the hole you dug

Some people will use a pvc tube or bucket without the bottom to hold the sand wall. I just move away from the ocean although that doesn’t always help

hi I came across this video and I was wondering if you would be willing to do a guide in Half moon bay and teach me about foraging bivalves? I'm happy to pay.

Does the tide have to be negative, or a 2 will be ok.
@noskunkadventures50353 жыл бұрын
You can probably still get mussels at 2. The clams need to be negative tide to expose the eel grass. You may be able to find a few at 0 but nothing at 2

Foraging is probably the oldest hobby in human history
