Whataburger is not the same after being bought out by a company up north. It hasn't been good in a while. Arby's next to Walmart in NB has really good white meat chicken nuggets but not as good as Chick-fil-A(sandwiches not so much) . 5 guys is delicious and fresh cut fries are the BEST !! In and out is ok, but the fries taste like cardboard !! Firehouse is awesome !! A friend of mine is from El Paso and she swears by their tacos and she says what we call a taco is a "burrito."

There are a few good places for good Mexican food in Albuquerque New Mexico. Our Blakes Lotaburger is like you Whataburger but since the new ownership took over and made it chain style the quality of the food dropped so much. Love the show thank you

I will be looking into the Baseball Camp at San Marcos. For regular summer camp, We send out boys to Frontier Camp in Crocket, Tx area. It’s not a bible camp but is religious based and spend the week do outdoor activities.

Steve, to answer you about Chicos. Its a late night food for when you are still drunk. It was cheap when i was in high school: $.75 for an order of 3 was good. You could fill up for under $3 with a double order, fries and a drink. I would love to hear what you all think about wienerschnitzel. They had them in Corpus and was good for what it was. Love the podcast.

Northern New Mexican food is the best. Steve, you have good taste. No tomatoes in our chilé sauce. Fresh tomato is for salads and side dressings. Cooked tomatoes are for Italian food.😅 In southern NM, where you ate Renae, could be a mixed bag, because they're closer to the border of Mexico or Texas, I believe their food is more tied to those traditions.

Steve when you come back to Milwaukee if you like thin crust pizza go to Ned’s on 27th St (they are carry out) Leon’s frozen custard is across the street. Thank me later!! Also, Cousin Subs is amazing here and so is Culvers! There is a Lou Malnati’s pizza in Oak Creek, WI, you can order and ship to Renae!!

We have a long John silvers near me in Pennsylvania. I think it’s awful. My husband loves it but says he feels sluggish after he eats it. The grease alone is nasty.

It is all about personal preference when it comes to the Burger. I live in North Carolina we do not have a Whataburger within 400 Mi of us. I miss Whataburger so much. Love Arby's but what is starting to get better and better is the quik trips and 7 11 gas station food. They are cheaper than the fast food now

Texas does have better Mexican food but it's in the valley, McAllen to Brownsville. Better street tacos in Brownsville for sure

Oh no no no Steve and renae, authentic Mexican food in California is definitely better than the authentic Mexican food in Texas you guys specialize in Tex-Mexico food very different. I’m from Cali LA, and I travel quite a bit to Texas but I live in Iowa. Sorry you have a bad experience with the tamales 🫔 in LA you went to the wrong people. But ama stop cuz this is a full blown fight 😉😉😆😆😂😂😂❤❤❤love you guys great podcast

Sorry Steve, in n out is way better than wattaburger. And that’s what’s great about in n out that their menu is simple to the point the specialty is burgers 🍔 and they are clean no matter where you go in the country. But I will agree about 5 guys delicious . Arby’s 🥸😳🤢🤮
