Ok a TPS in the automotive world is a Throttle Position Sensor. In the Office Space world it’s a Report, that you get reminded by 8 different Bosses that you didn’t put a cover sheet on said TPS Report…😂 love the show guys.. Never let it die. 👍🏻👍🏻

Welcome back Mover! Thanks for sharing my comment speculating what you are up to there in Dallas. My buddy is a 737 Captain and flew with you not long ago. Was really impressed with you! BTW...he used to work on Sims there at the Academy before he started flying, so back in the day, I got to fly every sim in that place. This was back before 911 when we could actually do that. Anyway, wish you nothing but the best. I'm a USAF vet...crewed the C-141B and C-130 E/H. I worked for AA back in the 90's for a bit when they had a maintenance base here in LIT for the Saab 340 / Jetstream 31 (Wings West). Looking forward to your announcement!

There is a book called "Eject Eject" by John Nichol that's about Martin Baker (ex-Tornado Backseater) ejection seats and the people they have saved.

RE Mental Health Minute. One thing I have learned in the twists and turns of my career so far, is sometimes you have to take a step back, to the side, and find another path forward and you eventually reach the goal. It's a PITA, but some times it is what it is. Getting cash in the coffers and looking for new ways to make the end goal are never a bad thing!

I am 99% sure that Lockheed stored tooling for Raptor production and still has it. I even remember hearing that they have in storage video tapes of how to do certain processes related to production. It really seems like they truly thought one day it would be brought back. And I still think we should do that instead of NGAD

Wish I was there for the live stream for the T-45 replacement discussion. The premise is for peacetime training and the capabilities of current or future jets. Combat aircraft face the potential and likelihood for degraded systems and control surfaces from combat mission damage. It sounds and feels like Navy fast jet training is being optimized for best-case scenarios, especially around the boat.

Its hilarious that when they released the T-38A trailer most top comments were referencing Mover and Gonky... that makes them the most famous active T-38 pilots arround...

When you’re on orbit (or in orbit for non-space nerds lol), you’re actually constantly falling and still dealing with gravity. It’s all about how you deal with it - keeping the speed up. Not sure how to work that into a coherent analogy but sounded cool as I typed it 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ok, so I was just informed by my buddy at AA that they are no longer training for the 75/76, which I didn't know! So, based on your mention of MSFS, I am saying 787 right seat. I don't think you are moving to the bus since you are already flying Boeing equipment and that would be a lateral move! We shall see Friday! :)

The French are delivering mirage 2000-5 aircraft to Ukraine. It’s my understanding they will primarily be used to take on drones

Small note, there will be 95 NEW airframes and ALL existing Block II's under a specific Hours and Trap count will be upgraded to Block III, The plan is to Have F-35s and Block IIIs only on deck, Block I and IIs will rotate back to land based duty and demonstration teams. The USMC C++, is completely gutted, down to the frame, and all wiring and tubbing has been replaced. Essentially a Block II Lot 27's Guts in a depot level serviced and life extended airframes. F-35 technical refresh 3 has faced more delays than anything. As for the F-22, the Tooling wasn't destroyed, it was crated and sealed, and then decades later when congress looked into re-opening production, the crates were empty.

Jeez! Talk about bullying! You would think that someone who had been in the military would be more considerate of those who don't work 9 to 5 jobs. There are weeks i don't even get up by 2100! 😂😂😂 Except for that another good show guys Edit: wait, does this prove Mover wasn't in the military!?

So for the New Navy trainer just buy some stripped down Super Hornets and paint them white and orange or build new legacy hornets. Don’t reinvent the wheel. Same for the Airforce. Buy New stripped down Vipers and put in systems to train for the 5th Gen systems.

The whole thing in Top Gun about the trophy or finishing at a place in a class was stupid. I remember an interview with one of the pilots who flew in the filming - probably Lloyd "Bozo" Abel. He said there's no way they'd ever allow a trophy or to have class rankings. He said the learning process wasn't about scoring kills, but learning techniques to take back to the fleet. Trying to out dogfight an A-4 or F-5 in a Tomcat was pretty futile. He said that with all those hyper-competetive fighter jocks, they'll be taking all sorts of chances and possibly dying trying to get a trophy like that.

The SW issues/all plane incidents I think it's both. Media looking for anything to push the story along. No matter what. (maybe the Portland maine/Oregon wasn't a typo but a way to make it look like more issues. People see the 2 different locations and assume two different stories And issues) And the errors by pilots and atc are getting more and more and bigger and bigger The holes are all starting to line and up and its gonna be big. Everyone is going to point to these small issues and close calls and say the writing was on the wall and no one slowed down and tried to figure it out. They can't ground all flights and get a grasp on this. But something needs to happen. Something needs to break this cycle Maybe it is operators scaling back some flights. Airports not allowing such tight landing windows. I don't know. Unfortunately it's going to be a major major loss of lives that is going to be the switch that changes everything. Cause right now the incidents have been minor and loss of life minimal. So it's easy to say small error in judgment keep going.
