I love that you talked about your toe up sock with the gusset/ heel flap. I just knit the same pattern and had many of the same thoughts as you. Also, I tried to change to a heel color not realizing I would be knitting full rounds not back and forth as in traditional heel flap. So I need to figure out how to do that as well. I actually just talked about it on my last podcast. As usual, I love your projects and your podcast!
