Thanks for the confidence instilment Drew. Right after trimming, with the skin still on the ski, I like to liberally wipe the freshly cut skin edges with a paper towel to wipe away the hairs that are loosed by the cutting. I've found there be a decent amount of loose hairs there after cutting, and this prevents them from getting stuck to that critical adhesive at the skin edge.

I have a pair of g3 skins cut to fit my 108 with skis. Would you say they would be good on my 116 ? Or is that to narrow to use ? Thanks

In my oppinion the G3 tool cuts away too much of your skin. I prefer to have the skin start on the border between edge and the base material. Visually its no big difference but in steep hard packed terrain it make a real difference in traction.

Contour has a good cut tool as well ... What cap is that by the way? Looking for a cap without top knob to have under helmet

I think it was just a promo cap Salomon made a batch of, so they're unfortunately not for sale. They do have some good ones coming soon though. In the meantime, I've got a couple new extras of this one. I'll give them away on Insta sometime soon! --> @drewpeterski
