Yes- Joshua Castille is deaf, he's just a very good speaker!

He and a girl who's part of the band are hard of hearing but can still speak clearly. The girl still uses ASL, but her voice sounds perfectly normal. You can see her in the first Vlog video Andy did. Not all people who are deaf are totally mute or choose to be mute. Helen Keller actually learned how to vocalize words in her adult years, and considering she was both deaf and blind, it's pretty remarkable that she made that achievement. Also, nowadays some hearing aids are made for people who are deaf or hard of hearing so they can hear a little bit better (I say a little bit because obviously hearing aids can't totally fix people's sense of hearing, especially for the elderly).
