Ken tapped to something really important that people overlook SO OFTEN this days, and it's kind of the reason why youtube feels more and more everyday like a tv network.... Not everything has to be slick, not everything has to be overproduced or produced at all. A lot of the times, all you need is people in front of a camera sharing his/hers thoughts. One of the reason I like this podcast is because it feels like old youtube. Just 2 guys talking,making it light, with mistakes,without editing,just perfect.

These are amazing. When you love a show like Community, it's like the characters become your friends, and then finding out the actors really like each other, and that you really like them as the people they are (or at least present on the show), it just warms the cockles of my dark heart. I just like listening to Joel and Ken be friends and give each other shit.

I love Ken, and Chang. He’s so funny and smart, and has achieved so much, but I really wish he would give the guests more chances to talk. Okay, I didn't want to say anything, but since they addressed it I have to... The "top" of the mic is actually the side of the diaphragm (it's like a drum suspended in the dome on the top, only it's facing toward the side). The side that has all the dials and stuff on it is the front. It's different for different kinds of mics, so the type you see on stage with a round grille DO pick up from the top. The front of the mic is way more sensitive, and has better frequency response that falls off as you move to the side. There's also a thing called proximity effect with cardioid mics (your mics should be set to cardioid for this purpose - the icon looks like a heart). The closer you get to a cardiod mic, the boomier and more bass-y it gets which is why Joel doesn't like the sound. Just hold the mic a few inches further from the face and it will sound great! Trust me, I lived in New York.
