looking awesome! I've got questions lolz Did u consider thermal bridging .... what's ur thoughts on this? I'm in NZ so similar climate, my frame is steel tubing as opposed to aluminum but I've spent winter in a tin clad/ frame caravan before and froze so like u I am recladding in timber (plywood budget) but concerned about condensation inside walls. what type of builder's wrap/ tar paper did u use and why? what's ur plan for insulation ... looking forward to the nex t one ♥ very cute little helper😄

Thanks for the question Dee. I used plastic sheeting between the timber and the aluminium framework. I read so many theories on whether you should have a vapor barrier or not, many were conflicting. With hindsight I could have gone with a breathable membrane but I used what was available to me at the time. The insulation in the walls is going to be a 50mm celotex PIR insulation board. I believe this should be sufficient to regulate the temperature inside the truck throughout the year ☺️

How did you get over the need to tilt the cab to work on the engine???
@HelenTheHorseboxАй бұрын
Hi Ray, we kept the same concept that was already in place. The front opens on hinges and the bed area above the cab also lifts up on hinges. There is sufficient room to tilt the cab fully for any required maintenance. I will do a video on this soon 😊

I wonder why you didn't do it staggered to prevent a continuous seem in the cladding. Regardless, good job!

There is method in the madness Peter. The seem in the cladding will have some trim all the way down it for waterproofing and for aesthetics. Thanks for tuning in again :)
