This week on the Combat Base Podcast we sit down with Eddie Cairns of the South Bay Los Angeles punk rock band Slaughterhouse. Eddie, Chris, and Melissa Haueter sit down and discuss the history of South Bay Los Angeles punk rock. Eddie shares a fascinating perspective on growing up in a household with both parents embedded in the the South Bay punk scene. We talk early days of jiu jitsu, skating, and vintage South Bay Los Angeles beach life. Eddie is a Combat Base black belt, plays bass for Slaughterhouse, works a 9 to 5 as a finish carpenter, and rips at skateboarding. A very interesting, motivated, and productive human. He began training jiu jitsu in the early 2000s under brazilian jiu jitsu dirty dozen member Bob Bass. Enjoy the podcast!
