Oh so many beautiful patterns and yarns. I'm excited to see what you'll choose! It's lovely that your wrist is healing so that you can indulge your hobby without pain. I enjoy cotton in a small diameter and make a lot of facecloths in pure white so that I can bleach them - It's a great way to try new stitches and sometimes that's all I can manage to finish. Happy Monday.

Wld love your recipe for the summer top. Am just starting to think of how to use quite a bit of stash summer yarns! Your tops are both lovely, even the white. You might try a light bleach to brighten it as both cotton and linen will take the bleach. Worth the try rather than discarding.

This episode was jam packed with beautiful summer knitting! Would you believe I have attempted to knit myself a pullover but it’s still a wip. So through a Vogue pattern book for beginners I have started a basic garter stitch cardigan. It’s being made with super bulky yarn in green and red stripes. Hah! I’d say it’s a Christmas cardigan being knit in July. I hope to get it off the needles and maybe I can attempt a summer top. Thank you for the valuable information you share. I appreciate you. ❤ StitchedbyMimi

I enjoyed your recap of past tees and newly favorited patterns. I made a Vellichor 2 years ago out of koigu wool and spincycle dyed in the wool. In wool it creates a warm and cushy fabric. Since it’s wool, I wear it as a vest or Slipover, but it would make a wonderful tee in a lighter weight fiber. It’s a very easy pattern, but it took a bit longer to knit than I had expected. I’m currently knitting Wild Flowers by Tif Neilan in a fingering wt merino/cotton blend. It has flown off my needles. I’m almost down to the bottom ribbing and I’ve loved every moment of knitting this pattern. I’d make it again! The pattern is very clearly written and I enjoyed the interesting shoulder design which added to the fun. I highly recommend both patterns.

What a great episode! I, too am so excited to start summer knits. I'm currently making the Pyramid in-the-round by Minimi knits in a 2 wt, cotton acrylic blend. Her sample is made in a wool and I prefer no wool during warm weather but wanted elasticity in the yarn. I do love the cotton/wool blend but for fall/spring. It is very warm and humid where I live. Your summer top showcase is wonderful! So many ideas. I think the pink mesh top would look fantastic on you!

Thank you for taking the time to insert the design photos. I love making note of them! Do you ever use bamboo or wooden needles for slippery yarns? I find it helps me to have a bit of friction if the yarn has silk or similarly slippery fibers. Happy knitting!

The Lamana knitted a bit longer in the lavendar colour silk yarn would look lovely. The Siesta Tee would be nice in the darker blue or bright pink. The Andrea Mowry perhaps in the burnt orange. But not a fan of that style. The Anka Tee would be nicer. I will have to knit the Corran. The colour reminds me of a lace cardigan I knitted in my 20s for my mother who has long gone for 30 years.

Great to hear some after-wearing feedback 👍🏻 Odd how we wear certain things to death and ignore others 😂 Just a response to your comment on the size inclusivity of the tees you made, a large number of available sizes doesn’t = size inclusive. I saw a new pattern on rav the other day, 9 sizes, max 42” 😔 To fit 60” with intended ease seems to have settled as the standard for fully size inclusive and there are patterns with a smaller max size, all the way down to the ones like I saw above. I haven’t checked all the patterns you mentioned, just saying, don’t see a lot of sizes and trust it to mean size inclusive 😊
@PatriciaKMarshall7 ай бұрын
I have a pure cotton yarn I have purchased. I wonder if I could add a light linen as an extra strand and get gauge for worsted. It is a sport weight yarn. I have not found pattern for guage I get in swatch and linen may add structure. Can't wait to hear what patterns you choose.
