Hi Laura. I just found your network not long ago. I am currently watching your past videos. I love them all ! You are so informative !! The only kinda negative thing that I can say is that you dont post often enough ! I for one would love to see you post more often. Be blessed ♥️

Hey Laura. Found out just this year that it's illegal to take coral off FL beaches. Just FYI. Thanks for your vids!
@virtualshelling4 ай бұрын
@@gingermackeen5741 per FWC, live coral is prohibited with exceptions on species and harvesting permits. “In the state of Florida there are specific rules governing the commercial, nonlethal harvest of marine life. Throughout the state of Florida, the collection of stony corals, fire corals, and the octocorals Gorgonia flabellum and G. ventalina (common sea-fans) is prohibited. The collection of octocoral species is restricted. The harvest of live-rock, substrate with living organisms attached, is illegal unless harvested at a licensed aquaculture area.” It’s always important to know state laws as well as county laws, and what species they pertain to!

@@virtualshelling Apparently there are various views online about whether the FWC regulations mean just live or ALL coral. I've heard from several sources this year it's ALL. Very confusing. I would really like a definitive answer. Perhaps I'll email someone there. Thanks.

@@gingermackeen5741 The people who do SWF Beach Life and Florida Beach Walks videos both said they called state officials who confirmed that it was illegal to take both live and dead coral off the beach. I have a couple of vases of coral and had no idea that it was not legal to take it. It seems that these ladies had no idea that it was illegal until very recently either. I do not see why it is not on the sign that tells us no live shelling. I would guess that most people are not aware of this law.
