O, what a great video on a great episode, Bud! 😃 (Oops! I haven't even seen this all the way through yet, but I just had to say something now!) I like your self-deprecating humor and attitude, as always! I love your (and Maxi's?) use of the great music from this episode in the background!...............(And now I've just finished watching your video) - WOW! Thank you for explaining the differences between the English and Japanese versions of the episode! More and more now, mostly because of you, Maxi, and Alli Kat, I believe and suspect that most of the episodes of this series were more understandable and relevant in their original Japanese versions! (I am going to re-watch the original Japanese episode of this! I also want to see if the versions were edited differently.....)

Thank you so much for the kind comment! 😊 Yes, Maxi did the music choice for this video :) I think both the Japanese and English versions of the series have their own positives 😊 But I really wish there was a subtitled version of the original Japanese series, so it could be more accessible to worldwide audiences and we could experience both versions :)

@@KimbasKingdom : Thanks, I couldn't agree more! I think all of us on the Discord fan club (and your channel) should write to Mushi/Tezuka Productions asking that a future release of Jungle Emperor, in any medium and perhaps at least for Tezuka's 100th in 2028, include an English subtitle track, translated from the original Japanese dialog, for the large English speaking audience of this series. I'm certain Dr. Tezuka would have wanted this, if only he had had the time and budget in 1965.

Ah! So that explains why this episode feels out of place compared with the chronology of the rest of the series. I had actually thought perhaps this episode should have come at the end of the series, but somehow got pushed to the #5 spot accidentally. Now I see why these scenes are here! Another awesome video review Bud! Spoiler commentary for episode 5 below: It’s disappointing when any dub company alters lines or cuts out footage to appear more “kid friendly” for American audiences. Seriously, “I’Ll PrEtEnD I’m ShOt!” Interestingly in the 1993 Redub of the kimba series Quasimodo was declared dead by the police saying, “we got one of them hahaha!" Followed by Kimba saying "I want Zambo(Quasimodo's name in the 1993 redub) to be alive!" But they cut out the echo footage of the gunshots across the sewer for some reason?

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed the video 😃 Yeah, as far as I’m aware, the 93 version stuck closer to the original Japanese script, but it did also leave out more scenes. “I’ll pretend I’m shot” has become a meme in the Kimba Fan Club on Discord 😂

No, not stopping any of my series :3 Just did a lot of fan art videos because I’d fallen behind with editing and they’re the fastest to edit.
