I love what he said at the end about not accepting mediocrity in his gym and trying to push his teammates and the other guys in the gym to give their best and put in the work. DDP is truly champion material.

So impressed by Drickus. Was he only a seriously good fighter it would be enough but he is intelligent as well. Carries himself well and speaks eloquenly. A true ambassador for SA. Now we have two sports we can root for, Rugby and with Drickus leading, MMA in the octagon.

I’m so happy we have athletes like Dricus Du Plessis, the same way we have athletes like Siya Kolisi. Bringing people together. In the midst of the Malema shoot the boer none-sense, I’m glad to say even us Black South Africans have come together against Israel Adesanya. I believe Izzy is a generational fighter who is an all time great, but when the time comes, I’m backing our boitjie Dricus! 💪😤🔥🔥

You got my Sub, keep local lekker. I have supported MMA and UFC more intensely for a long time. My wife is from America and never supported UFC until i introduced her to Dricus and Cam. Now she wont mis a fight she is hooked and supports them hard. I think we have finally turned her to being a true South African.

What a great interview. I know he is a smart guy, but some of his answers had some real depth to them. A great role model. I really want my son, who trains at Quan Wessels, to meet Dricus. Next Hennies meet and greet, we are there!

Quote from 'Heart Of A Champion' ... "The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavour." "Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it." "Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan." All your hardships and achievements have not gone unnoticed, especially by us - Your Fans...... - next UFC Middleweight Champion!!! You have earned the title shot and well deserving of it no question about it. Recover well my brother, wishing you good health and stay blessed. You are an African - a Proudly South African. 🙏

Just a suggestion...but you guys should clip the part where he talks about his injury and upload it. You cannot find that specific info anywhere. Lots of people wondering why he turned down the Australia fight card. Think it would help your channel get more views.

I'm proud of Dricus and how far he's come so far. I remember the early EFC days, to KSW, to the UFC, this man works his ass off and deserves the success. Go kick Adesanya's ass! (or Strickland's 😂)

Imagine slapping Dricus in a club. You will have to have the best life insurance out there. Dricus can literally kill you, if you don't have a professional fighting background. These UFC guys are trained fighting machines.

What irked Israel, is Dricus saying "I'm the Real African fighter" not him saying "I'm going to be the first African Champion coming from Africa". Dricus must take accountability for that statement.
@JuiC30 Жыл бұрын
No, he does not, just because racist Izzy and Kamaru made it about race, does not mean Dricus falls in with them.

@@brynjd No, again we don't have to shy away from being proud of where he lives and trains. All the other born African fighter's got trained by some the best coaches ever and have the support structure. Here in South Africa we don't have that, although we are starting to get it now. The other African fighters were born here, but don't live here or get there training from Africa. So stop trying to race bait.
@brynjd Жыл бұрын
@@JuiC30 Dricus can be proud of where he resides & where he trains without slighting other African fighters. All Dricus had to say was, "I want to be the first World Champion to train and still reside in Africa". But he chose to say "I want to be the first real African Champion" which rightfully irked Israel Adesanya. In Dricus's defence, English is not his first language & he may at times feels the need to over-explain himself, which resulted in him saying "I want to be the first real African Champion"

Words to describe harsh annoying loud sounds: If you want to articulate abrupt, piercing, or loud noises, use: beep, bellow, blare, cackle, clack, clang, clank, clink, croak, earsplitting, full blast, grating, high frequency, huff, jarring, rasp, rumble, scrunch, shriek, toot, twang, vibrating, wail, and zap. Your intro is described above.

I am not even 5 minutes in... come on guy, the male interviewer- you say "like" every 10-odd words! Very poor and unprofessional communication habit. If you are going to conduct an interview, and promote your page to be taken seriously, you have to polish your communication and interview skills. Otherwise you just sound like some unprepared, nervous adolescent finding themselves infront of somebody they find themselves flustered with.
