Episode26 Gladstone to GKI

After a bit of a break in Gladstone it's time to head up through The narrows and to Great Keppel Island.
We cruise extensively along the East Australian Coast on our 13 meter catamaran. Join us as we explore new cruising grounds, cross bars, fix all kinds of problems, ride out rough weather and live aboard for extended periods.
We even have a playlist that gets us on other peoples boats.

Hey norm hope all is well , I’m just curious did your dampener plates spit any rubber or give any warning cheers

No Richard. They were spring type plates. And the one that had failed was in lots of bits. There was a bit of a thump when it went and they were probably a bit noisy, but it sort of creeps up and you don't notice it. The trouble is to check them is as big a job as replacing them. Have replace with Polyflex ones. They may become noisy if the rubber/plastic fails. But will still drive. Cheers mate.
