@@henrikcarlsen1881 yeah it's unfortunate. I'm sure he can sing fine, but the autotune tidied up the wrong notes. I'd rather just hear his raw voice fail at that point, or have him stick within his range, than hear that shit.

@@strider5119 You're a nerd. I don't notice auto tune and it doesn't ruin songs for me because I don't have any reason to pay attention to that or care. Good music is good music. End of story. Tell me, could you survive on your own in the wilderness? Or do you have to rely on technology to survive because you are to weak and shit at everything? Same concept. Stop the whining.

Dude... This song hits so much harder this way as an adult. As a teenager hearing Papa Roach "Last Resort" was a rage release song. Hearing this rendition brings out the depressing reality of mental health issues and the struggle of life. Looking back at everything I have been through in my life while listening to this song brings tears to my eyes. So many times I wanted to ended it, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. Quiet frustration and solumn peace, this is a gorgeous reimagination. Everything in disarray, you know it's crumbling around you and you're desperate for someone to help you build it back, that catharsis of being heard and being able to compose yourself with someone supporting your renewed foundation. I really needed this song, didn't even know it. Thank you Sir Ronnie. You are beyond a visionary.

@ZairUmbras

One could say the depth of Jacoby's lyrics are hidden beneath the anger and rage he pours into the mic to express those more sad and deep lyrics, like in the original Last Resort, Between Angels and Insects and honestly the rest of the Infest album. Ronnie, instead, dug beneath the anger and brought the sadness up to the surface and then amplified it.

Yeah, another good example of this is Linkin Parks Crawling. The original version is all angry and powerful. Whilst the live acoustic version they played in 2017 is all sadness and depression. That one hits even harder considering Chester Bennington did actually commit suicide....

I’m going through an intense transformation and have been for about two years The hopelessness, despair, hope, beauty, loneliness, terror, shame, courage. All of the feelings. Every time I feel lost or don’t know what to do, I’m reminded to feel. Songs like this masterpiece remind me I’m alive. What a brilliant reimagining. I’ve dealt with intense suicidal thoughts and I feel like this version captures the utter despair so well. Like you can feel he wants to be okay, he wants to live, but just feels broken, confused; hopeless. Pure despair, and as Bane said in TDKR, “there can be no despair without hope” He has the hope, which makes the despair so visceral. I relate so much. He’s singing because he wants to live, otherwise he’d be dead already and not waste the time nor energy to express it. This is just so fucking powerful, Thank you to all the sensitive souls who feel the highest of highs and the lowest of lows and still choose to stay here. ♥️

Note when Ronnie says "Downward spiral where do I begin" his voice drops as if going on a downward spiral too, and the camera angle changes for the first time to a low-angle shot to carry out visually what the lyrics are portraying. Masterful. This is just one of the many subtelties that you'll find after watching the video repeatedly. There's a lot here to unpack here. I feel we as humans are capable of recognizing when artists are truly giving their soul to their art, we can feel it deep in our bones. We can tell when an artist or artists (Ronnie and the video production team) have reached a point where it is undebatable they have mastered their craft. It is truly invigorating to see dedicated artists. And to have a video that captures the moment when they trascend. Very much refreshing. Thank you for that.

Okay I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this to be very good let alone... THIS. This song hits extra hard now. Absolutely amazingly done.

I just heard this on the radio today and had to see the video. This is amazing. Took the rage and frustration of Papa Roach version and unleashed the sorrow, futility, cry for help.

This is a cinematic, orchestral, melodic, lyrical, masterful rendition of a song that defined a generation. I can't think of a better way to pay homage to it!

Ronnie, I don't know if you have time to read all of these, l because I know you're busy but I just needed to tell you that I am 38 years old and I have been listening to all kinds of music for a long time. I have never in my life heard a song that had more heart, more passion, more pain than this song. You made all of us FEEL these lyrics. Thank you so much for putting your everything into this song. Thank you for everything.

This song came to me in a time I needed it most. Just a dark room video playing and giant man tears falling off my face. I’ve never been one to say I was in a dark spot. This video helped me realize I was falling deep and needed to get out and get help. Guys and gals please check on yourselves and loved ones. No one will judge you for getting help.

Those with sadness and depression and anger knows truly how this song feels :/ it hits our hearts, our body, our mind. It hits our screams that we've been suffering inside when we sing with him. He shows us that we're not fine and sings it for us whether we can or cant with him, he bleeds for us in this song, put on a battle for us. Everywhere is crashing around us like the buildings and we're all at a stand still crying and breaking, nothing can beat this song with him singing and the old papa roach version. Both tells a different story and yet the same. My heart breaks with you but ill remain strong with you too. I thank you for singing such a difficult song and making this video. ❤
