People say this a lot about anyone who writes a good song . This song is....deep. it's a call out to just music in general. Ronnie if you're reading this. I just want to say. I feel the pain man. Nothing is like it used to be anymore. People just want to be good at one thing and it shows. But YOU. You have shown the world through this album that some emo punk band. Can do whatever y'all want to. Getting one of the rap kings tech 9. A country God as of lately jelly roll. And even showing you're not afraid to do whatever the hell you want to and be happy with it. Ronny even though it's hard even though it's painful. This song brought me so much Joy. I understand it music sucks now. And people need to right better music. Anyone can mumble on a mic. This whole verse st 1:18 is 100% not about MGK, to those in the comments saying it is. Not only did MGK not "go from rock to rap" and then "rap back to rock". MGK never used any producer that Ronnie used. Ronnie has never worked with John Feldmann or any of the same producers. Also, Ronnie and MGK are cool. Ronnie even had MGK on stage a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the part in this song is either exclusively about Chris Fronzak "Fronz" or about Chris Motionless in the beginning, and then about Fronz in the second part. The "rock to rap but I did that first" is because Ronnie got out of prison, started FIR, then released a solo mixtape. Fronz had his band Atilla and also released a mixtape under "Fronzilla" a couple years after Ronnie, and continued Atilla. Ronnie has never liked Fronz either, so this is the only thing that makes sense. I know a couple people claim that on a stream, Ronnie said it was about I Prevail, but I'm not sure that makes sense or is accurate. Just doesn't add up. So either people misunderstood what Ronnie was talking about, Ronnie didn't say that, or Ronnie did say it but was hiding the truth. Ronnie really dislikes Fronz as well as Chris Motionless, and those or the only two that make sense with these lyrics as well. Especially the "rock to rap" and "rap back to rock". That's definitely Fronz.

[LYRICS] Nowadays, people are too afraid 'cause saying what's on your mind's like stepping on a landmine Nowadays, people have gotten worse, I'm thinkin' we need to purge, 'cause the world's in a decline Obsessed, everybody is stressed, everybody's a slave, everybody's oppressed, like Nowadays, people are too afraid of saying what's on your mind 'cause the world's in a flatline Yeah, they wanna call me a nuisance just because I'm not afraid of giving my two cents, it's stupid They try to tell me I'm ruthless 'cause I respond back to all the rudeness you spit, it's abusive I never claimed to be a rapper, you did I never woke up and chose violence, it's useless Homie, if the shoe fits, then prove it You do a lot of talking, but you're not gonna do shit My fuse lit, you just made my shit to-do list When you push me past the point of no return I'm ruthless Like, "ooh shit," I'm the exorcist of music 'cause I got so many fuckin' heads spinnin', it's stupid Like, "who's this?" Bitch, I'm the one you excluded You wanna talk about equality, but I'm not included I think it's funny and ironic, and it's pretty amusing You proved my whole point by this chorus I'm doing, it's like Nowadays, people are too afraid 'cause saying what's on your mind's like stepping on a landmine Nowadays, people have gotten worse, I'm thinkin' we need to purge, 'cause the world's in a decline Obsessed, everybody is stressed, everybody's a slave, everybody's oppressed, like Nowadays, people are too afraid of saying what's on your mind 'cause the world's in a flatline And while we're on the subject of this I gotta couple things I wanna get off of my chest I don't mind when a band sees another success and gets inspired It's the copying I can't respect And you can go to my label, my director, my producer, but you'll never get that magic at the level I do it You motherfuckers keep on actin' like I never influenced an entire generation I'm the antithesis to it You went from rock to rap, but I did that first, you went from rap back to rock 'cause the rap didn't work, that's worse You're actin' like you never heard of me, homie, but everybody that I know truly knows you're baloney, and people throwin' accusations at me, knowin' it's phony, just to get a reaction out of me 'cause they're bored and they're lonely If only I could've told what I know being forty to the younger me, then this would've been a different story, because Nowadays, people are too afraid 'cause saying what's on your mind's like stepping on a landmine Nowadays, people have gotten worse, I'm thinkin' we need to purge, 'cause the world's in a decline Obsessed, everybody is stressed, everybody's a slave, everybody's oppressed, like Nowadays, people are too afraid of saying what's on your mind 'cause the world's in a flatline Suicidal thoughts got you tyin' knots, got my rivals in denial 'til their fuckin' vitals stop, there ain't a single person on this fuckin' planet that can top what I'm doin' with this music, I'm just waitin' for the drop, like Ah, I'm just waitin' for that drop Well, I wish a motherfucker would tell me when to stop My tunnel vision's got me feelin' like I'm in a prison Walls are closin' in on me and I'm sick and tired of livin' in it Ha, but every minute that I'm livin's like a mission, I'll admit it, but I'm grateful for that shit I'm given Ha, 'cause it turned me to a monster I just keep on getting stronger I'm not waiting any longer Either conquer every genre like I'm Genghis Khan or chop you like a helicopter into sixty pieces like I'm Jeffrey Dahmer I'm goin' insane There's somethin' that's wrong with my brain I'm colder than a frozen lake Death is a heartbeat away Don't take advice from that motherfuckin' antichrist Back down, you don't wanna see the show Bloodbath, but you reapin' what you sow Think you know me, I promise you don't Step up, motherfucker, let's go And I know that you don't want the smoke Fuck around, end up a ghost Thinkin' you know me, you don't Fuck out my face, and you won't

The best part about this song is that he mentions being inspired by other artists and this song gives me soldier vibes by eminem, and he pulls it off like its nothing and slays a dope rap and makes it sound original and slips in a gangsta drop at the end that you cannot help but get slapped in the face by. I dunno about that one line with "and you can go to my producer, you won't do the same magic as i do", when Ronnie should know his producer has his own band (Dangerkids) that did the style of rap/metal Ronnie did in this era longer (and imo better) than FIR's 2017 album, Coming Home, existed. Yes, FIR did the combo for a long time now, but this new style Ronnie chose with songs like Ronald or Popular Monster is what I mean. I can see this being a stab against I Prevail, since he was mad about them calling their Hurricane acoustic version a "reimagined" (even though he didn't invent this term and people did it and had more success with it than him), but then again... does that mean that everyone that does a rap/metal mix is immediately ripping him off? Even though a lot of bands did it before either him, or Dangerkids, or I Prevail did? What about the fact the third upcoming Dangerkids album is said to feature someone from I Prevail? Yeah, no, I just don't understand Ronnie here. There's the thing of calling someone out, but this is just being a "fuck you for no reason" kinda deal. If he really meant I Prevail, that is. No shade against Radke (actually, some, because some of his takes are bullshit), as he did some cool shit, but I'm just saying.

Ok this song is everything.Ronnie is so real. I love his attitude and how I’m your face he is with it. This song is everything I’ve ever felt . My goosebumps got goosebumps that got goosebumps and then it just rises uo the raw emotion in this song it’s then it becomes - like a goosebump- gasm , an emotional-gasm. A gasm of some sort I’ve felt a lot from many songs but this one does it above all . If this is the prequel I can wait to see what’s next.

That ending is such a Ghostemane vibe. I hope it was a tip of the hat and not a shot. Because Ronnie and Ghostemane would be nuts on a track.
