According to the conversation between Jeremy Bolm and Dennis Lyxzén on Bolm's podcast, Refused encouraged the bands to put their own spin on the songs and to not be afraid to radically alter things. I think it paid off on this track for sure.

OK, so who's the original by then, if you don't mind telling me, can't find anyone saying so in these comments. Play guitar myself, almost everyone I know plays covers, just copying and I can't stand it lol, hence why I appreciate a cover that's reinterpreted, though I can understand that some do the originals so favours! @@mrjehupitchfork i feel the same. The song was completely changed. The only thing that stands its the title of the track hahaha! I Love Brutus and i thought they would do a good cover, but what they did here is a good song inspired by the original by Refused.

the main idea of tribute album is to deconstruct the original and creating something new out of it.

@musyarofah1 i think we get that..... the point is most good covers have at least SOMETHING familiar. As an example listen to the whores version of acdc have a drink on me..... totally different but you can tell its the same song. Have you ever heard the original version of this song and how old are you....
