Still listening to this band. My mom told me it was my dad’s favorite band of all time he died when I was 2 so this reminds me of him 😇☺️ coming back to this comment reminded I had a couple photos of him somewhere and I actually found a picture of my dad with Greg Hetson!

The one line that hits me in this song is "Just to settle a bet that could not be won, between a prideful father and his son." My dad and I had a turbulent relationship. Sometimes we would have periods of time where we didn't talk to each other and at one point it last almost two years. It was because of our pride and stubborness. We reconciled and then he passed away in November of last year. I know he loves and cares about me and I still love him. He had a lot of pent up anger and I don't think he ever managed his mental health in the best way. A couple months after his celebration of life, I had a dream about him. He was smiling, I ran to him and gave him a hug. I said I missed him and he said it back. Then he said that he had to go. It was bittersweet but I believe he's in a better place where there is no sorrow or pain.

Sorrow Father, can you hear me? How have I let you down? I curse the day that I was born And all the sorrow in this world Let me take you to the herding ground Where all good men are trampled down Just to settle a bet that could not be won Between a prideful father and his son Will you guide me now? For I can't see A reason for the suffering and this long misery What if every living soul could be upright and strong? Well then I do imagine There will be sorrow Yeah, there will be sorrow And there will be sorrow no more When all soldiers lay their weapons down Or when all kings and all queens relinquish their crowns Or when the only true messiah rescues us from ourselves It's easy to imagine There will be sorrow Yeah, there will be sorrow And there will be sorrow no more There will be sorrow Yeah, there will be sorrow And there will be sorrow no more Yeah, there will be sorrow Yeah, there will be sorrow And there will be sorrow no more

+Rafael Sanna Because main stream pop, rap, etc. is the music that TIME WARNER & Disney push.. That type of music is to help Divide us. Music like Bad Religion & other similar bands help to join the cultures, so they will never get the mainstream attention. They... (New World Order) want us divided.. just look at the racial issues pushed on TV.. Then see the interracial commercials pushed (as if we are all somehow wrong for forming relationships with friends of the same color) (I saw a Christmas commercial this year with every ethnic group at the same party) While I have zero problems with that, it's just not logical. (Am I suppose to feel bad) It's all for the same purpose. The media knows nothing but division so they can break up the culture. United we Stand, Divided we FAIL. Divide is the goal of the Elite, then system fail, then chaos. At that point is will be easy for them to destroy us so "they" can rebuild the world as they see fit. Many books published on this, but its hopeless to try an fix the problem.. the system is to big, the brain washing is done, now all we can do is hope for a few more years of stability. Peace

My dad just passed away. I remember in my childhood he would blast this out on his CD player and sing a long. I’m hoping to get this played at his funeral Gonna miss him

This is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever had the privilege of hearing! Everything about it is epic! The band name is one of the most brilliant I’ve ever come across and video concept is genius! But the guitar riffs and solo, drum licks, bad ass walking base line, and of course the best vocalist and most righteous and true lyrics this world has ever heard. makes these guys true legends! With the exception of mike ness and social distortion I can’t think of any band or vocalist that can stir up as much emotion in there music than these guys can. I truly wish there were still bands like this around and that there were bands blossoming from the next generation like this but unfortunately that hope is apparently dead. Because all I hear the last 10-15 years is the worst generic bubble gum mind numbing garbage coming from the record labels artists these days. There are some good random bands that pop up occasionally but I miss the days when mainstream radio played good music consistently. What happened America? How did we go from the best to the worst in one generation? Especially when we held the title for almost 100 years of the pioneers and kings of great innovative music in the world! Such a sad sad story. At least we have bands like social D and bad religion to ease our ears, minds and hearts suffering! God bless them and may the good lord be Jammin to there music when we get to heaven! Amen

Father can you hear me? How have I let you down? I curse the day that I was born and all the sorrow in this world Let me take you to the herding ground where all good men are trampled down Just to settle a bet that could not be won between a prideful father and his son Will you guide me now for I can't see a reason for the suffering and this long misery What if every living soul could be upright and strong? Well then I do imagine There will be (sorrow) Yeah there will be (sorrow) And there will be sorrow no more When all soldiers lay their weapons down or when all kings and all queens relinquish their crowns Or when the only true messiah rescues us from ourselves it's easy to imagine There will be (sorrow) Yeah there will be (sorrow) And there will be sorrow no more There will be (sorrow) Yeah there will be (sorrow) And there will be sorrow no more Yeah there will be (sorrow) Yeah there will be (sorrow) And there will be sorrow no more
