To complete your EPLAN tasks in a short time, then it would be smart to use the EPLAN shortcut customization feature. This lessens/replaces time spent using the mouse by customizing keyboard shortcuts that suit you best.
Most if not all commands and functions can be assigned to a keyboard shortcuts. This unlocks freedom on your fingertips.
To assign shortcuts in EPLAN P8 2.9 - you can follow this tree and do the same on the customization window.
