Hi guys, thanks for your comments. To answer gutplucker: if you go too far and the stabilizers go under water, they have enough rocker to always produce positive lift. So they wont push you down. If you do capsize, their volume have been calculated so that 2 crew of at least 60kgs can step on them to drown them and then grab a hold of the centerboard to re-right the boat like a normal dinghy. if the crew all together weighs less than 120kgs, then they have to add flotation to the mast, just like on cats, and the trick is done.

yes, but is there a downside? If you tip over too far, and the wings cut into the water, what happens?

+Trisailor 382 Not really: on a trimaran you sail on the leeward float. On the ePoH, the stabilizer is only there to give extra stability if there is a heel mistake; kzbin.info/www/bejne/jV7JpH9sgL6omrc That gives the crew enough time to keep from capsizing. If your sailing her right, they don't touch the water: that's why we call them stabilizers and not floats.
