nice! for a 40m2 bakery floor, how much time would this take?
@carleenmcguffey34807 жыл бұрын
This doesn't need any kind of primer at all? Just for the original ceramic tile to be heavily sanded? That's great and would be really helpful. I'm asking for clarification because all the other videos that I've watched have had several steps to Prime the floors. I don't care about the grooves or bumps at all or the grout joints or whatever my only concern is just that the epoxy will adhere to the tiles. So it looks like all we need to do is thoroughly sand down the ceramic tiles.....is that right? With no other prep??

Hi Carleen, This doesn't need any primer. We are using this technic for almost 5 years with no issue.
@BPMa14n5 жыл бұрын
@@atlascoating 5 years no issue, I have not been recommended to apply any epoxy floor or coating to tile, granite or terrazo. The grinding may break weak tiles or tiles may be loose, I guess you inspected and saw tiles were strong and tightly adhered to floor before working on top of it

you do not have to fill the joint if you do not want to,some peple want to keep the tile joint not to make it look like concrete floor ,simply you need to sand and put epoxy over it

Can this brave done on wooden floors for residential areas in central west??
@atlascoating7 жыл бұрын
Hi Angelique,We tested that and realised that epoxy won''t stick very well to timber. it's a chance and high risk. Thank you

Did you have to seal the tile afterwards before you installed the epoxy?
@atlascoating7 жыл бұрын
Hi Walter,On this particular job, it didn't need any sealant before SL application and everything went really well. Sometimes floor needs a sand seeded primer.
@luv8dds9036 жыл бұрын
They cut corners by not using primer bonding over on top of tiles and they did not use filler between tiles . I'm impressed less work for me next time.

whered you get that vac attachment that you can run 2 grinders off 1 vac?
@atlascoating8 жыл бұрын
Hi Trick, It's a plumbing connection that we found in Bunnings (Home Improvement chain store). With a bit of ducting tape, we made it like a sealed connection.

Nice job guys, I do epoxy as well. At 4mm is there aggregate in the mix along with the epoxy?
@atlascoating7 жыл бұрын
Hi Joey,There is no aggregate in the mix. However, we broadcast some sand or Alumina on top for anti-slip purpose.

No coving ? No primer , and equipment still in place ? fat, grease and chemical will get under where the legs are , and lift the coating in no time ...should have asked for a couple more days to do the job properly!
