UV Resin works for this affect too. I tried this & turned out great. Usinging expoxy resin over the mica powder works better than uv resin cause the uv light changes the color if the mica powder a bit! Thanks for this idea!

I add the mica powder with a brush and it is just loose, I blow away any excess. But as soon as I add the top coat the mica just floats. Any advice you can give me would be very much appreciated. Thank you 😊

Hi Maria. I suggest that you use an eyeshadow applicator instead of the brush, it buffers the mica powder in the crevices very well and I also find that I don't get a lot of excess powder on the piece when I used it. When I did the pieces for this video I did get some floating but not alot, I tried to get rid of the excess as much as possible. I really hope this helps. Thanks for commenting ❤
