I think your video is literally the only video on KZbin that demonstrates how to remove the printhead for cleaning. Thank you for this. I have P6000 so a little different but hopefully similar enough.

I appreciate you La Tonna. I bought an Epson Surecolor P8000 for only $300. The "LK" printhead is clogged. I just removed the printhead with the help of your video. I'm going to clean the printheads with a solution I made( Windex, ammonia, and rubbing alcohol ). The printhead on this printer has been clogged for over a year...it has also hasn't been turned on for over a year. So I'll have to update the firmware after this printhead cleaning. I'll let you know how it went. Thank you so much for taking the time to post such an informative and detailed how to video. You are The Lady Print Boss!

Gregory Farr DONT update the firmware unless you are using Epson carts. the Surecolor P Series Made in the US and UK are locked from using third party inks and carts. You can use third party inks and carts if you change the chip on the refillable cart. But it’s just a one time chip and not cheep. That would be one chip for each color and it’s just for that color. That’s why everyone uses the old stylus pro.

Thank you for this video (and the disassembly video). And now for the several thousand dollar question... did the flush work? After reinstalling the print head, did the printer work? I just removed the head from my classroom's P6000, and I'm dreading reassembly. Some of those screws were so hard to get to; I can't imagine trying to get the screws back in on that top center one. It was such a bear.

Did it work afterwards? My 8 channel printer is now at 6 and now cyan is clogged and they keep saying replace a $2k printhead

wow just discovered this channel . Hi Lady Print Boss would this be the same procedure for the epson 11880? most of the head is not printing

This is a wonderful tutorial. I just went through the whole process and cleaned the head. The only problem is I don't have any ink coming out at all now. I ran a couple cleanings to get the ink flowing again but I only have a little bit of grey coming out. Is this normal? Does the head just need to fill up with ink again?
@ladyprintboss2 жыл бұрын
The ink has to get down to the head again. A few head cleanings and you shouls be ok. I prefer to do a cmyk purge sheet to get my inks flowing again

How long did you wait after cleaning before running a head cleaning

Thanks for replying! It probably took me about an hour to get the print head back in and then I ran the cleaning.

@@ladyprintboss I did the purge sheets and a few more cleanings. It's better but not great. I'm going to try the Peizoflush system. I know the print head is not dead electronically.

Hello, I am sorry to hear that. Error codes happen. It can be something small or something bad. I suggest downloading the manual and loolong up the error code. Sometimes it will through and error code that it's a bad printhead but it's the ribbon it's properly inserted. The code will tell you what it is

I think it varies from printer model . You should be able to tell by the colors coming out the bottom. I would just soak all nigh

My friend Durren bought EPSON SureColor P7000 with very low print count as it looks almost like a new about over 2 or 3 weeks ago, he saw your video about cleaning the printheads because the green color cannot print and the rest of colors were fine after the nozzle print test. He bought cleaning treatment you are using to clean printhead and followed step by step on your youtube video. After everything is all cleaned up, he but the printhead back to the printer before he can print the nozzle test and it printed all black. What does that mean? Instead of print each nozzle colors. Anyways, he wondered about your plan on part 3 video. Hope to hear from you soon.
@ladyprintboss2 жыл бұрын
That just means the ink isn't flowing through the other channels when you clean the printhead you are purging all of the ink out of it. You then need to so a head cleaning from the maintenance menu to get your colors back.
@colosweden2 жыл бұрын
@@ladyprintboss Thank you. He did it all. All color channels are clean without any color left overs and cleaned the heads too.

It's was easy to reattach the print head. The can has a permanent clog which means that part of the printhead is damaged. All other colors came clean.

yes thank you for this video you are literally the only one who in detail cleaned the printhead would have been nice to have seen a part 3 of the printer and how it responded to the cleaning....I here too with these printers its a good idea or recommended to change the damper assembly kit or aka ink selector that comes off the print head once a year as they can also clog and have a tendency to dry up and particulate as well the pri t head wiper and even the wet capping station...im converting a 7900 to DTF printer so this was a big help visually
@ladyprintboss2 жыл бұрын
If you search the channel you will see the printer printing.. I have now decided to convert it to dtf . Currently the printer has printer flush on it so can't show you it printing at this time.

Hello lady print boss, watching u do this is encouraging. Thanks. Am using 7890 , these print head solutions are not available here in Nigeria. Any experience on what else that can work?
@ladyprintboss2 жыл бұрын
You can use distilled water. I would use warm water to flush through the heads. If you have access to original windex or simple green that also works. Mix 3 parts distilled water and 1 part simple green or windex 90% alcohol
@innocentbest28362 жыл бұрын
@@ladyprintboss thanks dear, but I don't Have access to any of those solutions. Can distilled water do? Or isopropyl {alcohol 70%}. That's what is available here. Is there anything else I should do to dry it or I should fix it back like that and do normal cleaning.

Lady Print Boss, thank you for your videos, I subscribed to your channel today. I wanted to ask you the following question: My Epson 9900 prints correctly in color, but when I print in B&W it prints in brown magenta tone. The Epson authorized service technician checked the printer through software and mechanically; we changed all the original black inks (Photo Black, Matte Black, Light Black and Light Light Light Black), but I still have the same problem, could you please tell me what could be the cause and how can I solve it? Thank you very much
@ladyprintboss10 ай бұрын
It could be the color profile you are printing from. I would select a black and white color profile from the 9900. You can download the color profiles from epsons website. Hope this helps
