thank you friend for bring this content for us! What about input lag? Can you test with notebook projection of an chronometer and compare difference between projection and notebook screen. Its a good test!

Does your video accurately show how it looked during the daytime or does it actually look better in person? Cause it still looks like you're in a shadow part of your wall. Would like to know how this looks in a WELL LIT room. Thanks

How would you overall rate this projector's brightness and contrast compared to a 0.23 and 0.33 DMD chipset DLP portable projector??
@ostenako5 ай бұрын
I would say it depends on what you're using the projector for? The brightness is going to be more, since its 1000 lumens. The contrast depending on what DLP you get may be better. But overall, I would say this gives a better consistent image.

Also... it's been 7 months since you made this video and you bought it refurbished from Amazon. How is it holding up so far? Thanks again.
@ostenako7 ай бұрын
Hey, The video shows daytime, but with blinds partially open. I didn't film the video in a room with any extra brightness than I normally do on a regular basis. I forget where in the video, but I gave a quick shot of how the blinds looked around noonish. In any situation, I wouldn't expect to have full blown floodlights on with a projector. I would be comfortable saying...in the daytime with you being mindful to add some shade from your blinds or curtains from the sun, the brightness is decent enough to be more than happy with the picture. If you had a cheap chinese projector under $100 and had a horrible experience with brightness or clarity....don't worry with this. However, if you want to pretend is it a flat screen with the sun directly on the picture, you will be disappointed. Expect to provide some type of shadow or shade for the wall when viewing.....like blinds closed. Yes, I have no problems with the refurbished unit. They also provide 2 year warranty for replacement. You have to provide box and shipping fee though. Customer service is great and reachable for any questions. If anything goes wrong with my unit, I will absolutely make an update video.

awesome video! does your power brick get hot? just got mine. thanks
@ostenako11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Congrats! My power brick is behind the couch so I'm not really sure, but I remember in the beginning when I moved it around it was pretty warm. I guess it depends on how long you're watching something. I think that's pretty normal.

Is it possible to connect a Bluetooth sound bar system?
@ostenako9 ай бұрын
Yes! I have a bluetooth soundbar connected now. From home screen> go to settings> remotes and accessories. then you pair and it connects.

Hey, the fan is actually pretty silent, I forget about it until I go next to the projector and I feel the heat lol.

I need to project from 10 feet away and acheive 100inch screen at 16:9 aspect ratio... can we do that with zoom adjustment?
@ostenako Жыл бұрын
Yes, you'll be perfectly fine. My setup is currently on shelf on the wall 12 feet away, so what you see in the video from 14:26 - on is what you'll get at a minimum. My screen is about 130in across with zoom adjustment, so if yours is 10 feet away, you'll have an even bigger screen. You can use the zoom adjustment to crop it down smaller to 100in or less.

@@ostenako thanks for the response..does it compromise quality or nothing noticeable?
@ostenako Жыл бұрын
@@anilbuddha2046 you're welcome. nope, the quality stays the same from 50-100%. I was wondering the same, but its consistent vs the older lamp projectors. The only thing really with laser projectors you have to worry about is the lighting/lumens for your area really.
@anilbuddha2046 Жыл бұрын
@@ostenako that's good news, I have a dark room and white screen..hope that should negate lumens concern

Hi! Nice review :) im just super confused about the "zoom" aspect though. Every review I've read/watched says it doesnt have zoom and in order to make the screen larger or smaller you have to just physically moved the unit back/forth. Are you saying you can place the unit and then use the remote to zoom the image in and out? Is there a hidden setting? You're quite literally the only person I've heard who has been able to do this... *EDIT I just finished watching the whole video and sure enough there's zoom! How strange that no one has seen this in the settings! Anyway that's really great news, it was the main thing holding me back. Edit edit - i just read the instruction manual online, and it doesnt have that zoom function that shows on your video. Super weird. I wonder if you have a newer unit or something

I am confused whether I go for for epson ef12 or xgimi horizon full hd??
@noahriley99288 ай бұрын
Have you gone with one or anything else I am in the same boat rn 😂😂
@eddiedass7 ай бұрын
Xgimi has very poor contrast ratio... Black never appears well... However it uses a 0.47 DMD chipset which means it natively projects FHD (1080p) images unlike other portable DLP projectors which uses 0.23 or 0.33 Chipset that projects FHD images through pixel shifting
@AntonioAvila110 ай бұрын
wait I thought it had no zoom? you just showed us zoom in the settings?
@ostenako10 ай бұрын
it has no "zoom" technically. But what I did was actually make the picture smaller so I can use the image adjust and move it up/down left/right. So you can only make the image smaller.

Green dots are blurry, but I think that's just how they are. Actual picture focus is clean! Love this thing! I only wish it had an option to place this projector behind the screen and rotate the image.
