I've had to do this probably every 30 hours of use. I checked the fans but for some reason they don't look dirty.

The trigger could be something else. Could be a capacitor that could be getting overheated and shutting the projector off. Or could be anything else.

I need min to be fixed I opened it and reseated everything until I found that the wire to the fan underneath its power supply had ripped. I fixed that and still it overheats

I am so sorry you are going through this. I can't give a diagnose of what next unless I was able to see the problem. You could therefore get it looked at by someone close by who can fix the issue.

you were very fortunate, it doesn't look like you did anything but disassemble and reassemble, how did a nut get lodged in the fan, I don't understand?

This was not my projector and so I assume someone fiddled with it before I fixed it.

@@IndipinoyTech hmm I took the projector apart, the fans are working well, however now the lamp light came on and the temp light turned off? Any thoughts other than maybe the temperature getting hot burnt the bulb?

Ok this is what I found the fans are good however the filter was very dirty and the bulb overheated and burnt out, gonna replace…

The thermostat could be faulty and not able to detect the right temperature.

You might have to check if the sensor is faulty before you replace it.

I have hitachi pj-tx10 projector, when i power off my projector then exhaust fans turn off after less than a minute. Is it ok conditions????? I feel it that projector is very hot even exhaust fans off. Let me know that it is ok situation???????

There are thermal sensors inside the projector that help it in deciding if the fan to turn off or not. You can wait for a few more minutes before you move the projector.

I didn't need to replace the fan. But incase the fan on your projector is not working then you will need to replace it.

X21i projector when switched on the power light go green then back to red, next day it came on but the lamp fan was exhausting very hot air, the lamp would flicker intermittently then the projector shuts down. Power light on steady, if I try a restart, all fans come on for about 3sec then turns off. Lamp timer showed 356 hr. What can cause this problem?

I followed the steps but the problem persists.the temp light is still on, i checked all the fans are working...when I turn the projector on, I hear the fans working, for about a minute or less then shut off automatically... Need your help

You could try the same fix. Try opening it up and see if you can see if the fan is spinning or not. Usually it is the fan that cools the bulb and if it doesn't cool then there is a problem with the fan. Cheers. Update me if you were able to fix it.
