thanks for reply sir.. i am using epson L805 suddennly its print quality is going down when i print on epson premium glossy the black hair converted into muddy brown colour.. and sometimes the red colour is not printed accrucately its sprying outside the subject.. any suggestion help.. i use VMS ink on this printer.. please tell me weather this is printer problem ,ink problem or paper problem help..

True tech people never use the installation cd or read the manual. Jokes apart, installation CDs typically don't have the latest drivers, which may have been updated since the disk was created. Not to mention that out of the four computers I have, exactly zero have a CD drive.

Since in the Epson L series the ink tanks are external plastic tanks, the printer driver is unable to fetch ink levels. We have to look at the sides of the printer where the tanks are, the tanks are translucent and ink level is clearly visible on the side.

L210 is meant for printing colour pages while L805 is meant for printing quality photos at economy prices. Epson L210 inks (T664 series) only come in 4 colours, while Epson L805 inks (T673 series) come in 6 colours (light cyan and light magenta are additional). Both printers use similar dye-based inks and not pigment based inks. So you can use the 4 bottles of T664 series in the L800/805 printers but you will still need the two additional colours as the L805 is a higher quality photo printer.

The draft quality is lower than the drafts I am used to from even basic inkjets. The photo and color quality is great when used with good quality paper. The ID card prints ideally need a UV coating after the print, for best durability, but are visually excellent even right out of the printer.
