I understand the different sized photo paper. Does the PM 400 let you print smaller prints on the page? For example on the PM 290 under the Layout it lets you choose borderless & borer along with wallet & jumbo wallet sizes.

I have an Epson PM-400, and I love the quality of the prints and how easy the printer is to use. However, it seems that whether I print from my MacBook (tried multiple apps) or directly from my iPhone on the Epson app, I am having an issue with prints which are two 3x4s together on a 4x6. I use 4x6 Borderless for a print setting, and although I get a print without a border, the actual picture which is printed is a smaller area of photo than what shows on the preview screen. It's making me crazy! I spent over an hour on the Epson Customer Service line today, and they ended up telling me that it was a problem with my printer. I was just wondering if you have experienced the PM-400 printing less of a picture than what you see on the screen. I know that I've seen your videos where you print out two PL cards on a 4x6, but I don't remember which specific video it was. Thanks for any thoughts!

Evie Antonetti There is a difference between a digital pic 4x6 and actual print size 4x6. Digitals are bigger. I always put them in a collage app and size so I don’t get any cut off, the size would be 2x3 or 3x2 depending on orientation. This prints a perfect 4x6

Hi, i use the app photo collage and you have to pick the ratio 3:2 so that when you print it, it will be a perfect 3x4 . Hope this help

I cannot get the printer to print a 5x7. Do I need to go in and change a format somewhere? I’ve tried it twice and it prints a 4x6 on my 5x7 paper. Frustrating.

I am so sorry for the delayed response. I really hope you figured it out. There is a setting on the printer AND a setting on the app that needs to be changed.

@@thescrapmaster There's not a setting on the app to change it from 4x6 to 5x7. Is there another app to use? I can change it on the printer though.

Thank you! This was very thorough! I was hoping you would do the price breakdown. That's not bad per picture, and it'll get better, I bet you get 200 prints out of that cartridge. The amount you scrapbook makes this a necessity! I get what you mean about not having to wait for pictures from a lab, you lose your mojo! Love your videos, I can't wait for the app one!

I hope you were able to figure it out. So sorry I didn't realize I was getting comments and not getting notifications. The ink cartridges are a little tight to push into the printer.

Do you use a collage app to print two photos per page? And how do ensure there are even white borders if you do?

I use PicFrame to do collage prints from my phone. I have a video that talks about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnbSiH6Ylpl_f9km48s I add the white border around the photos using the settings on the printer itself. I have gotten a few borders not be even. It's happened when I don't have the paper aligned with the guides. Just make sure the paper is snuggly in the paper feed spot.

I love this printer! But my question is that when I use the Epson Creative Print app and want to print a collage-say 2 vertical selfies that look perfect …until I click to the “next” step, before print-it flips my pictures to horizontal and then they’re all distorted -do you know how to fix this?

Sorry, I have been on hiatus for a bit. I am so sorry I have no idea how to fix this. I would think there's got to be a setting somewhere in the Epson app to rotate the photo. My other suggestion is to uninstall and reinstall the app and see if it helps. I really don't know why it would flip it like that. EEK. Hope you already were able to fix it.

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been taking time off here due to pregnancy. I don't think it has any color editing features that I'm aware of. I always print through my phone and do any photo editing on my phone before printing.

Thanks for the review, i just bought mine and testing it while watching and listening to you. I don’t hear any sound only when i am printing. And yes i used to own a canon selphy, i took very good care of it and one day it just died. This one took very good picture better than the canon i would say. I took a picture of mine with my phone from a picture from the 70’s it was grainy but it still came out nice. So hopefully this one last longer than the other one

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been taking time off here due to pregnancy. It does not have a battery, just a plug in cord. The picturemate charm has the option to buy a battery but this one does not as far as I know.
