Menu prompts are different on my P800. After inserting paper, it says that within 3 seconds the paper will load automatically, but no, it does not load at all. It also says, "if the manual feed tray is open, close it" but the instructions say to open it before inserting the roll paper. ???

Hi, John! It sounds like you could be missing a step. The user's guide does state for roll media the manual feed does have to be closed. Check if you feel almost a “resistance” when inserting the media. That is when it should grab it. There is a message that should detect the media.
